Duracell Go Mobile Charger/Rechargeable/Includes Car Adaptor & 2 AA/ 2 AAA Precharged, Rechargeable Batteries

This product is great. Works as described and truly delivers power in an hour. I have timed it everytime I use it. Brand new rechargeables that need charged are ready in anywhere from 50 min to 1 hour. The car adaptor is great for kids toys, flashlights, camera's, or anything else you would be using on vacation. It also comes with a wall unit that works equally well. I hunt so it is perfect for electronic game calls, walkies, lights, etc. The only thing I have noticed is that unit gets nice and warm so make sure there is nothing laying on top of it or around it. Give it room to get air. Great product and I love mine!

Works as advertised, and YES must charge in pairs. Batteries that charge or discharge fast will get warm/hot. 1 hour is too fast for all recharge batteries, so expect them to get hot. This is suppose to reduce the lifetime of the batteries. But still the batteries are cheap and how much the lifetime is reduced by ?? I dont think much. Nice product - nice price.

As with many of the reviews I've read, I received a charging unit that was VERY sticky on the back side. Nothing would remove this annoying layer of "adhesive gunk". I purchased this one as a replacement after the same unit years ago, and it finally stopped working in Nov 2023. I wanted the same one, because it was familiar and lasted such a long time. Needless to say, I am doubly annoyed because this new replacement isn't charging my batteries no matter what side I put it on, just flashes constantly and the light does not turn green to indicate that is in charge mode. Very disappointed....now I have kick out money to get another charging device when this one should have lasted me for years. *these units should be pulled from inventory for being faulty.

This is an excellent product! I am using it in a digital camera, and I never had low batteries. I had clicked more than 400 pictures in a day without any problem. But yet to know what is the limit. They charge quickly - within an hour. Car charger is very useful. You can afford to forget recharging the batteries in advance :) the only disadvantage is you have to charge them in pair. If you use a single battery in any appliance, you'll be in trouble. You will have to get the other battery discharged. best workaround is to use them all in the same appliance and charge them together. Overall, I like it very much.

I bought this after going through many batteries with my family for toys and electronics.I really liked it when I first saw it,it charges batteries pretty quickly-about an hour,sometimes less for a full charge.Purchasing this means you have to be committed to buying many more batteries for it,which can get expensive.We use it for backups,and to have on hand for power outages,which we get alot where we live.As far as using it to replace all our electronics and toys would cost a fortune,and I realized that after buying it.I would only suggest buying it if you are committed to buying alot more of these batteries,which do not come cheap,but for the charger itself,it works great.Plugs in easily,easy to put in and take out the batteries,and they charge quickly.Just be committed if you plan on using this to replace all or most of your electronics.I found this was the best one after doing much research on the different brands.

Exceeds my expectations. Having experienced no power in Texas area for two weeks after Ike, I like that I can recharge batteries off my car. Keeps my mini LED flashlight with batteries. I will not be without one of these in my storm bag! (What's a storm bag? Those of us who live in hurricane country keep a bag of emergency supplies for those mother nature emergencies.) My mother had a similar suitcase for when we had ice storms that took the power down in rural Indiana. I would highly recommend something like this for your storm bag.

The Duracell Go Mobile Charger CEF26 sounds like an ideal solution for recharging AA/AAA cells on the road. It accepts either universal AC (100-240V) or 12V from car battery, and it recharges cells in just around one hour. Note that many other so called 'one hour' charger usually require at least 2 hours when charging 4 cells. But this Duracell Go Mobile charger charges at the same current of 2.3A (for AA) or 0.98A (for AAA) whether you put in 2 or 4 cells. That's why it takes less than one hour to fully recharge those included 2000mAh Duracell Pre Charged AA cells. Unfortunately, there is a major design flaw with this charger: it charges in pairs only. That is, you can only recharge either 2 or 4 cells, and you cannot group AA and AAA in a pair. Why is charging NiMH cells in pairs a very bad idea? Suppose you have one cell that is only partially discharged, and another one that is fully discharged. When you charge those two as a pair in this charger, the charging process will terminate as soon as the first cell is full (signaled by a negative dV/dt in the combined voltage). But the second cell is still half empty at this point. Naturally, when you use those two cells together in an appliance, the power will run out much sooner. Then there's always the problem when your appliance requires either one or three cells. Now you are left with one drained cell that you cannot charge. If you try to charge a drained cell in series with a full one, you're end up with the above situation again. If you always use identical NiMH cells in pairs, and you never mix up cells from different appliances, then the Go Mobile Charger is still worth considering. For the rest of us, however, the Duracell Mobile Charger CEF23DX4N may be a better choice. It charges cells individually (but at a lower current of 550mA), has four status indicator lights, and even doubles as an USB power source. [Update on Oct 8, 2010]: Duracell has discontinued the excellent CEF23 charger (at least in the US) last year. So prices for the dwindling inventory have skyrocketed. - If you just need an inexpensive 2-cell charger that can handle individual cell, consider the Sanyo eneloop MDR02 . - If you need a good 4-cell charger that can operate from 12V cigarette lighter adapter, consider the Targus LCD2700 with LCD Display - If you need an advanced charger that can operate from 12V CLA, consider the La Crosse Technology BC500 - If you need a good 4-cell charger that can operate from 12V CLA _and_ can power an USB port using internal batteries... Sorry! Your best hope is to look for an international version of CEF23, such as the CEF23AU .

This charger is very fast, recharging low batteries in about one hour. It detects some marginal or faulty batteries that other chargers will charge, which the Duracel Go Mobil charger won't charge (it displays a blinking red light). In these cases, it operates as a battery tester, and I mark those batteries as suspect and use them in non-critical functions. Also, it operates on US and European AC voltages and frequencies, and comes with the US-style plug, so you only need the adapter to match the power outlets you will be using while traveling outside the US.

Charges batteries nice and quick! Comes with both a 120/240 VAC -> 12 VDC and a 12 VDC car adaptor. The charger seems quite solid and of good quality, with a rubberized back and feet. Two status indicator LEDs light up red and green to show you the charge status of both charging banks (have to charge 2 or 4 batteries at a time, which will be fine for 99% of times. Can't mix AA and AAA in a charge bank at the same time - also okay). Included batteries are 2X 2000mAh AA's and 2X 800mAh AAA's. Recommend for at home or on the road charging.

Charges batteries fast both in the car and at home. I had a Duracell charger that used to take 6 hours to charge.

Arrived as described and ontime.

It does what it's supposed to do. I charge my headphone batteries with it.
