I recently indulged in Lebanon Za'atar by Salloum Bros, and it transported me straight back to my first time I tried Manaeesh | Za’atar on biscuits. The aroma alone evokes memories of family gatherings and kitchen warmth, where za'atar was a staple on my mother in law's table. The perfect blend of thyme, sumac, and sesame seeds creates a symphony of flavors that’s both vibrant and comforting. Using this za'atar, I've recreated beloved family recipes, feeling a deep connection with every bite. The quality is exceptional, with fresh and aromatic herbs that elevate simple dishes to something truly special. Whether sprinkled on bread with olive oil or used to season meats, this za'atar brings a touch of Lebanon into my home. Highly recommend for anyone longing for a taste of tradition and a reminder of home.

I got introduced to Za’atar at a new coffee shop at my work. It was good and new to me. Since I liked it at this coffee shop I decided to buy it for me to make it home. Well, I did. When I got it, it comes in a big bag, perfectly sealed and preserved for its freshness. The only thing I couldn’t make because my place is very small is the bread. So I didn’t experiment so I tried two different breads well, the second bread turned out to be a perfect fit for this spice and it made it to me even more delicious than when I originally had it at the coffee shop. What I used in my rendition of it Was raw crescent, though they sell in the freezer section at the grocery store like Pillsberry crescent rolls. Instead of making my crescent rolls, I took two of them which made a rectangle and basically the way he had it at the coffee shop was in the circular form I kept in a rectangle according to The recipe you’re supposed to mix the seasonings to oil like a pesto. Which I did and it turned out fabulous with question you just have to play with the time a little bit to make sure you get the proper balance between cooking and of the rolls and all that stuff. This product was fabulous on my version. It tasted so good and it was even better than the coffee shops. It was simple to make in all with the crescent rolls. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes. The product is fabulous. It’s even better than the one I get the coffee shop. I just get this and have it at home now. Save me seven dollars on a chewy bread that’s been sitting out for a couple of days. And I can make it fresh at home in a matter of a few minutes and have a delicious healthy snack or meal. For anyone interested in this product I recommend it. It is taste great It’s very flavorful. It’s delicious. I highly recommend it five stars.

If you like traditional Lebanese zaatar it’s perfect. Great lemony flavor and best for all Middle East dishes

This is a delightful Za'atar spice blend at a really great price. Arrived quickly and was very well-packaged. Be aware that you will need an air-tight container to put it in once you open the bag, however. Not a problem, just something to consider. I will definitely order Salloum Bros products again.

I have been hunting for the perfect Zatar blend- and this is absolutely it!

Used to be great but something changed fairly recently, both the batch I got from Amazon and locally was extremely salty. It still has that wonderful flavor profile but it's like they went crazy on the salt, to the point where its almost difficult to eat - specially combined with anything else that is salty. I've found it tolerable on its own with olive oil or with unsalted cheeses. Almost feel bad giving it 3 stars compared to the 5-star product it was for the last decade(s), but the change is saltiness is truly extreme and disappointing. I even waited ~2 months after my Amazon order to try some locally and it was still salty - I truly hope they fix whatever is going on. I will give it one more try in another few months and report back to this review via an edit.
