SCHLAGE BE365 CAM 622 Keypad Electronic Deadbolt, Matte Black

Sturdy lock with a commercial grade steel casing. Really like the quality in this one. It does require a 2 and 1/8 inch bore hole to fit through your door. I had to bore a new hole to widen my inch and a half hole from an old deadbolt, but this bigger one works perfect if you set it into the door accurately. Comes with a 9volt battery. Due to our climate in Minnesota I replace it every year to avoid using the key because the keypad is so convenient. It also is manual turn to lock which you’ll want if you have a wooden door that swells with the climate at all.

I love this lock! I can lock the door and work in the backyard or go visit my neighbor and not worry about taking a key. No.more locking myself out! Lighted keyboard makes it easy to see at night. My neighbor liked mine so much, she ordered one for herself. Comes with a 'real' key that i can hide outside in case I need to let someone else inside to feed the cat.

I replaced keyed locks on my three outside doors with these. Wish I had done it sooner. It's been about a year now. Easy to install, can add unique codes for house keeper, contractors, pet sitter ect. Also able to delete codes when no longer needed. Still looks good, color has not faded. This is a quality product.

I've replaced other known brands of smart-locks over and over with this Schlage. It's incredibly simple to install, the 9v battery lasts quite a long time, and the codes are simple to add/remove. The intuitive function of the lock is what makes it the best choice.Solid build, all metal construction with hard plastic gearing that will eventually wear out over about 5 years in my experience.I will continue to replace with the same lock as long as it's in production - this makes getting into my house simple.

Build quality is pretty good for an under $100 lock. It does not self lock. I missed that in the details. My main issue with this lock is that it blanks out. You push the Schlage button and go to enter your code and the blue lights turn off and you have to start all over. Hopefully this doesn’t become more of an issue in the future. It’s hard to justify spending more within the brand when the low end shows issue right out of the box.Has to try 6 times to get in the house today. Keypad just goes blank. Thankfully, it wasn’t an emergency, but seriously, 6 attempts. Horrible product!

This was really easy to install. I was replacing a regular lock with a deadbolt, so I had to make the hole in the door bigger and the hole in the doorframe deeper, which took me a while, but that was on me. The actual installation of the lock once I finished the prep work was really quick, probably less than 10 minutes. Once installed, it was quick and easy to program my own personal code. I love that it is easy to lock without a code on the way out the door. It is also handy that the buttons light up, as it's in a garage with poor lighting.

I like this lock set because you manually open the lock. The battery simply releases the lock. Others have a motor to open the lock, which can bind up if not lined up perfectly, and the battery life is therefore shorter.
