Very solid and does the job. A little big to store but that’s the only downside but it’s necessary for it to fit on the pot. Would definitely recommend for mashed potatoes.

This is the best ricer I’ve seen! During our vacation last year in Italy, our family took a cooking class with a home chef to learn how to make gnocchi. I bought this ricer so we could make gnocchi back home. We did that over the holidays with this ricer, and it worked like a dream. Super sturdy and easy to use. I love the adjustable blades ON the ricer - no inter-changeable discs to keep up with. Dishwasher clean-up was a breeze. Highly recommend.

Great product. Was fed up with having to pummel potatoes and still ended up with lumps. This is very easy to use and gives completely smooth mash. When making a mashed topping for cottage pie I run it through the ricer once, then add butter, seasoning and (optional) cream, then rice it again straight on top of the pie filling. It doesn't sink and gives a lovely crusty topping when browned. Quite expensive but strong and works well.
