NOVART XXL Herb Keeper and Herb Saver – Glass Storage Container for Cilantro, Mint, Parsley, Asparagus, Keeps Greens Fresh for 2-3 Weeks

This is my second one of these that I have purchased. This one was for a gift. I have had mine for a couple years now, and I absolutely love it. It seriously increases the life span of any and all herbs that I store in this. I normally use it for herbs but it is big enough to be used to store asparagus as well. It is very simply to use. Out of numerous herb keepers that I have tried, this one is absolutely the best. It is taller than most but not so much so that it doesn't easily fit in my fridge. The extended handle on the top is a different design than most and it is a welcome difference. Not many herb keepers have a clip built in to the product that allows you to lift the cup out of the water and clip it to the top rim. This is a great feature since it allows you to access the herbs with both hands. That helps tremendously. Most herb keepers on the market are made out of plastic. I really do love that this product is made of glass. I try to avoid using plastics with all food, so I definitely appreciate that. Additionally, the glass is not thin or flimsy. The tower is very rigid and durable. I have recommended this specific product to many friends, many of whom end of loving it. I definitely recommend this product. It will change the way you cook and drastically increase your use of fresh herbs in your diet, which is never a bad thing for both health and flavor.

Works better for me. I feel as if my cilantro is on steroids.The roots are strong and the leaves are healthy. Everyday they are getting stronger. It’s really tripping me out. I feel as I’m a botanist in a lab or something.Just for sake of adding something on here -It does take some finagling to get the cilantro in there and the stems to where they are touching the plastic bottom.Make sure they are touching that plastic, this guarantees the water gets in those stems and you end up with bountiful herbs.Do not be afraid to go past the recommended line. It’s the only way it works for me - by going past the line.To the creators of this place the line (on the glass) so we can see where the line marker is as we fill it with water.

It holds a large quantity of herbs. You can see if it needs fresh water . I use it for cilantro days which you can store easily and the basket has a ledge on it so that you can more easily pull out. The lid has air ventilation holes. It really keeps herbs fresh forva long timr

Nice design and works well. The container is well built, sturdy and looks a lot nicer in my fridge than the plastic cup that I use to keep my herbs/asparagus in. Arrived quickly and well packaged with no issues.Fair warning, the container is tall. If you can fit a bottle of wine onto your shelf upright then that is a pretty good gauge of if this container will fit. My fridge has adjustable shelving so I was able to shuffle things around to accommodate the height (and now I have the added benefit that I can stick bottles of wine upright in my fridge, bonus!).I am currently keeping asparagus in the container and it has worked very nicely. They stay upright and crisp and are easy to access a few at a time (which is how I use asparagus, weird?) I like that there is a little tab on the interior cup that hooks on to the top of the glass. This lets you leave the container open on the counter and makes it easy to get at the contents.The only issue I can see with this is that if you have a lot of leafy herbs (I tried to stick a big bunch of flat leaf parsley and a bunch of cilantro) getting the container closed and the herbs to stay in the bottom cup is a bit difficult. I found that the leafy parts of the herbs stuck to the sides of the container and pulled the stems out of the water as I lowered the inside cup back down. This probably wouldn't have been an issue if I had less leafy stuff or was using it for herbs that aren't as bunchy leafy. I could see this working perfectly for basil, thyme, mint, etc, just not my copious amounts of fluffy green stuff.Very happy with the purchase and would buy another one to house the above mentioned herbs since I already have my fridge set up to the correct height.

Yo lo compré porque había escuchado que el cilantro duraba más tiempo pero lo tenía en el carrito de compra hace mucho tiempo y no me convencía aún. Me arrepiento de no tenerlo antes. Realmente funciona. Solo debe recordarles que este en específico es de cristal, es bastante grande también comparado a otros.I bought it because I had heard that the cilantro lasted longer but I had it in the shopping cart a long time ago and I wasn't convinced yet. I regret not having it before. It really works. You just have to remind them that this one in particular is made of glass, it is also quite large compared to others.

I purchased this and didn’t use it for a few months. When I finally did, I loved it. Kept my herbs fresh and crispy. THEN one day just a couple of weeks later I went to get it out of the fridge and the glass part slipped out and shattered!! Glass spread everywhere in my fridge and kitchen floor - I was picking glass from the cracks in the fridge days after. It is a large size item (and I love that about it) but without a handle it’s just a nuisance. I’ll be looking for one with a handle.

We have fresh herbs in the garden. The problem is when I harvest some of them they start to wilt and within a couple of days are not as appealing as right out of the planter.I put a stalk of basil that had already wilted and in no time it was back in full form looking like it had when I harvested it.This is large. It has to be because it needs room for the herbs. The glass could do with some coating around it to make it less slippery. But I keep this in mind and handle it appropriately. I'm incredibly pleased with the results. Having herbs last is going to be a game changer.

Zugegeben er ist ein etwas hoch. Aber da passen alle Kräuter, auch die ganz hohen hinein. Und sie bleiben erstaunlich frisch. Also, Höhe messen, und wenn diese passt, kaufen!
