Whar an Ass Kicker the 1st few Cups
Then as usual your body starts to get immune. But I am a lover of this coffee. I get the Whole Bean and use it for my espresso drinks. I am hooked on this coffee (in a good way)! Dont even look back at Starbuck's, except in the rear view mirror. You might think $20 for a pound of coffee is a bit much, believe me it's worth it. The kick, the subtle flavor and textures.Just wish I knew about it before I spent so much on Starbucks garbage roasts. I wanna puke every time i taste their coffee any more... seriously. Now that crap is over priced pig swill and grounds in a cup! I didnt get paid to say any of these statements. I just want others to save their money for something better, if you are a slave to Starbucks!I have a cheap Capresso Pro espresso maker, and i use filtered water with this coffee. Just a beautiful morning every morning or even later in the day...Try this coffee you wont be dissatisfied.

The only coffee I will buy.
This is the only coffee I will buy, the flavor is nothing short of spectacular and the caffeine content is not for amateurs. I have no idea where the negative reviews come from but you all must be doing it wrong. Keep in mind you have to use 5 tablespoons to reach the 1555mg/12oz. So if you all are buying the k-cups and expecting the same caffeine content they are likely not as high, the other thing to consider is the caffeine content rater did not release details of the test. If you use 5 tablespoons but brew an entire pot you will likely not be getting the 1555mg/12oz. If you are looking to reach that level then use a French press and only use around 12oz of water. Also do yourself a favor and spend $12 to get a coffee grinder then buy the whole bean, it’s the only way to go, the aroma and flavor is much better.

Works as advertised
Tastes like cigarettes, but it’s basically rocket fuel. This is for when you need to get $hi+ done, not for trying to discover the nuances and subtle flavors that can be found in coffee while you’re wearing an oversized shirt with your glasses on while looking up at a snowy mountain waiting for the day to start.No. This is the already dressed, contacts in (if needed), hair done, shoes on, I’m ready to WORK coffee.Don’t be thrown off or shy away because of my taste description. It’s 100% drinkable, and I promise you this isn’t the worst cup you’ve ever had - looking at you coffee from the pot of a Jiffy Lube while you wait for your oil change and an always failed $200 upcharge sales pitch.Just enjoy being super human for a few hours!

Cold brew is the way!
Depending on how you extract, the experience can be ok to quite tasty.... but as a gift and fun time coffee with friends, great!!!The flavor had a very strong and smokey dark roast flavor with a unique tanginess? to it. It wasn't bad at all, just different! :)I made all different kinds of coffee extractions with this: Pour Over, French Press, Siphon, Espresso (single, double), Turkish, etc... And I dialed in the grind size for each different method of extraction... I gotta tell you... the best method that I found that yeiled the best flavoring, for me, was cold brew. How I did it... I let the brew sit for about 48hours, 24 on the counter and the last 24 in the fridge...I tried it straight and it was quite good! But, I did add almond milk and a splash of peppermint sweetener to it and it was REAL all good! All the other methods were fine, but for me, the cold brew method was the best and yielded the best results... I never felt over caffeinated, never felt jitters, and the flavors of the beans and came out more. Thank you very much for a fun experience and I do plan on getting more as gifts for my friends :)Thank You!

This coffee is the real deal
Setting all of the hype about extreme caffeine aside. This is the real deal when it comes to maximum caffeine from a natural and organic source. I've been drinking it for 6 months (I make it as coldbrew and drink it black). Great as a substitute for chemically pre-workout drinks and powders. 1 cup to wake up , another cup around 11am and you're energized for the entire day. A bit spendy, but if it allows you cut out energy drinks or some other source of caffeine/sugar then it may be a great tradeoff. Flavor is great too, not burnt or smokey.

Great coffee beans for energy, but expensive.
The caffeine content was good for coffee brewing and great for making espresso. The flavor was decent, with a typical bold flavor. The price was a bit expensive. If you’re looking for a nice wake up boost of energy in the morning, then these beans are for you. However, if you’re looking to a coffee or espresso just for a great taste, then this would probably not be a good choice since there would be better beans for that. The cost should definitely come down.

It's good coffee
It really is good coffee, however, I'm thinking I've either got a bad batch of the whole beans or it's just really NOT that caffeinated. I'm coming from drinking Death Wish Dark Roast. The flavor that my pour over coffee maker gives is superb, but the caffeine content feels severely lacking. I'm now on my 3rd cup writing this review and I feel as though I've just had my usual DD iced coffee..I don't feel highly alert or energetic as I do with Death Wish 2 cups. I'm hoping it was just a bad batch as I'm going to try the ground when it's back in stock but this may just be a gimmick for those looking for an actual stronger coffee.TL;DR: it's really good coffee just seemingly not the caffeine content advertised.
