For whatever reason my 5 year old has been on a sock puppet kit. I suspect a fellow kindergartener brought one in and she has been hooked on the idea of sock puppets (even tricking me into making a remedial one because "we have to have one for school tomorrow"). As a last minute christmas idea, I found this kit and decided to give it a try. In the past I had been disappointed by the make at home kits (paint your own pottery, make your own necklace), but this kit is a real gem! It comes with 3 socks in awesomely vibrant colors, 6 large yarn poms (to use as hair or whatever else you can think of), googly eyes and LOTS LOTS LOTS of stick on accessories. The socks are super soft, and the stick on accessories (fins, tongues, wings, dimples) are super easy to attach. The resulting puppets, are very cute, super durable and overall a ton of fun to play with. These can easily be assembled by even tiny hands, but the large pom hair should be done by an adult as it requires using a large plastic needle to attach. I highly recommend this kit to even the uncraftiest for its ease of play and overall fun factor. I will be buying another one to tuck away for the next snowstorm or bad weather stretch. Purchased for my crafty daughter... She could do this all on her own. All the felt pieces are stick on along with the eyes. Contains three super soft socks, each a bright solid color and a ton of self stick pieces to make great puppets. The included pom poms come with a large yarn needle (plastic) that is so easy to use to attach the pom poms.Had a blast putting together her puppets.. and lots of fun playing with them after.We did lose one or two of the felt pieces once the really playing began, but the kit has so many pieces we were able to replace them with our left over supply.

This is such a great idea with good details like mustaches, glasses, bow ties, etc. but the quality is poor. The details don’t stick well enough to the socks so they fall off. But we still had a lot of fun getting creative and making our sock puppets! So overall I gave it 4 stars but they definitely need better adhesion. (Should be able to gently pick up our finished sock puppet without the wing/mustache/bow tie all falling off.)

Neat concept and all but it took us all of 10 minutes to put all 3 sock puppets together and I really don't think they're going to last all that long. Everything except the hair (which is sewn on using the provided needle) just sticks on with little pieces of double sided tape. It's also very difficult (even with finger nails) to get the paper off the back of the stickies.All in all, it was fun for the time it took to make them and they'll be fun to play with while they last, but I wouldn't buy them again.

Both kids (ages 4 and 2) loved making and playing with these. Comes with way more pieces than you’d need which are easy to apply (adhesive backs), and it’s easy for the kids to design and decorate their own unique sock puppets. Some of the pieces do lose their stick after a lot of play, but if you run out of eyes you can always use a donut instead.

My 5 yo son is quite creative and this was one of the first Christmas gifts to get opened. The options are varied and the sock puppet was so cute when he was done. The sock colors are vibrant and soft. The googley eyes are great. Sewing on the hair was not hard, but some assistance was given. He used two "shark fins" to give him arms and one fell off. Tears formed. Needless to say, some of the felt pieces don't stick super well, but in general this has been a great kit. I am looking forward to a puppet show once they are all complete!

I purchased this for my daughters for Christmas. My daughters and nieces, ranging from age 2 to 8, all had great fun making their puppets. Although the kit only has 3 socks, there are enough decorations to make multiple puppets - just grab your own socks. Even better, most of the decorations are peel and stick, which makes for easy assembly. Inevitably when you combine peel and stick and kids, you're going to end up with pieces being moved around until they lose their stickiness. Thiis kit even came with extra adhesive pieces! My kids had a puppet show as soon as they finished. This was great old fashioned creative fun.

The stickers don't stay on, if you just want to set them down after applying stickers, and never move them ever again, then the stickers are fine. If you want to use these puppets with any child but especially a young child? Spring for the pre-made puppets or buy a better kit. My daughter with autism loved them, we're using puppets as part of her speech therapy, but as soon as you go to put it on your hand or your kids hand, everything falls off everyone the hair stickers. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! Wasted birthday gift honestly. I should've gotten a cat and Levi puppet. One that works is better than 3 that don't.

Fue un regalo y lo han disfrutado muchísimo, vale mucho la pena. Solo vienen 3 calcetines y demasiados accesorios decorativos por lo que valdría la pena adquirir dos paquetes para que puedan crear más marionetas. Excelente y muy didáctico.

The features were very cute on these puppets but nothing sticks for long especially if you play with them. I used the extra excessive strips they give you on almost everything I could (as they don’t give you many) and everything still fell off. So basically we have sock puppets with hair now and no other features
