My earlier review suggesting that you "Save your money" after I failed to receive my order, however I contacted the Chemical Hut directly as Amazon response was less than helpful, the opposite can be said of the Customer Service team at the Chemical Hut. I rang & spoke to someone who advised me that the lady who dealt with Amazon orders was on another call & would ring me back, I had very little faith that someone would ring me back on a Friday afternoon before Christmas, but they did, and less than 30mins later, they are unable to get my order out before Christmas but promised to send asap. It appears that DHL damaged the order & returned to the Chemical Hut, so faith in the company is restored. Thank you Customer Service at the Chemical Hut for your prompt attention to this order.

I don’t know about you but I don’t buy kindling by weight, I buy it by the standard sized net bags from my local garage or garden centre. The picture shows eight net bags similar in size to those I normally buy, but I actually received five quite small bags, that no doubt met the weight advertised, but were about 2/3rds the size of those I expected. Good kindling, well and uniformly cut, but much less in volume than I expected and that their picture suggests.I won’t buy them again and will go back to my normal source. The advertised weight I have no doubt is correct but the photo is grossly misleading.

Bought these last year and was happy, so have got the same again. This time there are only 5 bags so the picture is very misleading. I’m sure it will be good kindling, but all the bags have a lot of tiny broken bits of wood inside which will be wasted because it’s impossible to untangle them from the net. I’ll be buying elsewhere next time.

Should sell bags not weight, also about a quarter of each bag needs to be split again.

I'm in the habit of lighting my fire from a match directly to the kindling: this is particularly good, well split, dry softwood kindling.Sizes are well mixed with smaller pieces for lighting and larger ones for getting it going well, and the splitting has been done with a minimum of square edged pieces: most pieces, even the larger ones, have a narrow edge which catches fire easily.I've greatly enjoyed the fact that I can just open the bag and quickly find the mix of sizes and shapes I need to get the fire going.

A good product, but not great. Lots of smaller off cuts that burn way too quickly. The heat is ok, not great and I find I need to use more of them to get the fire going.

Somewhat disappointed with my most recent purchase which was 3kg light - ie 21kg instead of 24kg. Whereas previously kindling was packed in 8 nets each weighing exactly 3kg, there are now only 6 nets which presumably are meant to weigh 4kg each but in reality seem to hold just 3.5kg. The kindling itself is of the usual high quality but am not happy being short changed by over 10%.
