I'm not an expert on brightness but I bought these to replace the one I'm was using which was too bright. I stepped down the lumens/wattage quite a bit and thought it would be perfect but, I feel it's not a lot different. This is totally subjective, of course, and you might be happy for the extra brightness for less watts so, it depends what you want. Other than they're great bulbs. I wanted to buy the vintage bulb for the warm yellow light but my partner said it would look stupid. I still think the warm glow would have been better. I know, I sound like a bitter partner but, I am trying to be honest. :)

Value for Money
Smaller type light bulbs, which are quite hard to find in stores on the high street. Has a dimmed ambience instead of the bright light. Great value for money.

Product details need to explain size clearly
The product description needs to make it much clearer that the lightbulbs are small. Luckily they are fine for my table lamp but it took me some time to work out that they are actually the same size screw thread as the old bulbs.
