Heat management
I used this to wrap around my lower intake elbow, just before the turbo. It gets hot near the turbo, so I wanted to mitigate some of the heat. This product works well. I thought the tape might unravel itself over time, but it has held up very well and is actually pretty tough.

Lowered temps on intake by 30 degrees F
This tape lowered temps on average 30 degrees F for me on my cold air intake. Take your time applying it. Yes it will take a long time but it’s worth it. The rain and 100 degree days of summer so far haven’t destroyed the integrity of the tape. I’m very pleased it’s also reduced spark knock as well!

Not the best adhesive
Not sure if it worked like I though it wad, as my iat's were lower but so was the outside temp.. The adhesive isn't the best, but I'll have to see over time and especially when it gets hot out in the sw...

Overpriced
The adhesive isn't the best. The smell it puts off is slightly overpowering. It does however do it's job at blocking heat. I suppose that's what matters.

This works
Used this next to header pipes on heat shields and it is holding up very good. Some issues with the foil separating from the adhesive but considering where it’s at its doing it’s job.

Great tape, add some spray adhesive to be safe
Absolutely gorgeous, definitely keeps my intake temps down. As per the heed of other peoples reviews around the internet with premature peeling of the tape, I first sprayed the item I was wrapping with 3M super 77 spray adhesive. In my case I wrapped a turbo inlet I built as it is located across my turbos hot side. Before wrapping the intake, my first few drives with the car showed heat soak after full strong pulls, especially when it is hotter outside.I installed the tape by measuring the diameter (3" in my case) and added roughly 1/8" just for complete coverage. It took a while, but I flipped every strip over and also sprayed the 3M adhesive to the back side. After a few hrs of operation, one with higher engine temps the tape performed as expected, was cool to the touch shortly after shutting down the vehicle and showed zero signs of sagging or peeling up. A few drives and days later and same results. Even sprayed it off with water to clean the road debris off.One last thing worth mentioning, any sort of radius is going to be difficult to wrap. For this I cut the wrap in half and used shorter 1.5"-2" strips to get 180 degrees of coverage properly. If you are wrapping an intake or intercooler piping and your filter or coupler is rated for same diameter, I recommend leaving the gold tape back just enough for your filter to clamp on. In my case I am running a K&N 3" cone and it was too snug to fit over the gold wrap. After a few frustrating attempts I eventually ended up scrapping one 3" section as it had gotten too beat up during attempts to install my filter to consider presentable.See attached picture of my engine for reference.

This Stuff Works
I used this stuff to line the inside of a motorcycle fairing where hotspots were melting the plastic. It stopped. When I got the motor worked (more heat) I used more in more parts of the fairing to prevent melting AND to keep the heat moving through the fairing. Worked so well I also (needed to ) put it under the seat. Now this is the only reflective I use. I have choices. I use this. You should too.

Not worth the price tag
I bought this product after researching a few different brands and came to the conclusion that this would be the best bang for the buck. I bought it to wrap my air intake pipe and here are my thoughts:I cleaned the intake with alcohol and wiped it clean and dry. After cutting the first strip and putting it on the air intake pipe I already noticed that it doesn't stick very well. I pulled it tight and it did stick fairly well to itself. I was able to wrap the entire intake with a 30 ft roll and initially it looked great. After about a week and a half of driving around however I noticed that it started to peel off. I pushed the parts that were coming off back on but after another two days decided to check back on it. The whole underside of the intake was peeling back except for the odd strip or two and it just looked bad so I removed all of it. If I had my time back I wouldn't have wasted my money. If they made the tape with better quality adhesive, I would use it again but as it is, it's not a good product.

was expecting a bit more quality adhesive but better then knockoffs
I can't say I think it's worth the steep price because it dosent seem to stick as good as it should and many have had issues where the adhesive dosent stick once it gets hot. Although it did work decent for me and it is deffinetly better quality tape then the knockoff stuff on amazon and ebay. So pick your poison, junky tape for cheap that wont work at all and might catch on fire or burns up if it does end up sticking, or overpriced less junky tape that might work decent depending on application but eill not light your engine bay on fire. 🤣
