This is a beautiful frame that is well constructed and finished. The frame really compliments the oil painting, the frame the artist chose was probably more of a financial that artistic consideration.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Heavy frame with a classic old school look.

The frame, as others have said, was packaged very poorly but it was undamaged. The cardboard for the box was one of the cheapest types available - you can easily tear it up by hand with no resistance. The frame itself is sturdy, but the "antiquing", or whatever it is supposed to be, look more like it's dirty rather than worn. I will keep it and use it, but if you want something that is truly museum quality, this isn't it. The painting I'm using it for was not terribly expensive so I will probably improve the frame since I have that kind of ability, however, I should not have to.

I bought an original acrylic on canvass painting. Canvasses apparently come in standard sizes, and this manufacturer carries frames to fit them. The wire was easy to attach and the back of the frame is constructed so as to protect the wall from all hardware. The result looks very nice once hung.

I like the look of these frames (my second purchase). They are on the heavy side, but for canvas oils and acrylics they do give a sophisticated look. The only thing I wish could be changed is the depth to accommodate thicker canvas. Even a 3/4" canvas cannot be secured inside so you must have the appropriate hardware (which is not a problem for me as I am a full time painter and have all sizes of necessary hardware).

Not a well finished frame. I had to do some tuch up to it. Not good quality ether.

When I opened the box, all I could think was wow! This frame was nicer than I expected for the price. It was the perfect choice for displaying my original painting. Durable, Plein Air design, with nice detail, finish, and color. Comes with heavy duty hanging hardware. The packaging was amazing too. I would not hesitate to use the same box to ship the frame with a painting in it, since it was padded so well. I plan to purchase more of these in the future.
