7 Wonders New Edition Base Game

Great game for the entire family. Easy to learn with a minimal set up. Can play one game in an entire night.

Our oldest son introduced our family to this game after playing it at college. It took one play through to get the gist of how the game works, and by the 2nd and third time playing we were rolling along pretty quickly. The game is played in 3 "Ages" that consists of 6 rounds of play each Age. Play is simultaneous, meaning everyone plays at the same time each round. This makes game play quick and keeps everyone engaged throughout the game to the end. It also forces you to focus on your game more than playing off others. After playing once or twice, it appeared that there was one specific way to win consistently, but after playing a dozen times now, its apparent that there are many ways to win, and it really is luck of the draw of the cards you are dealt, and how you choose to play it. Playing with my kids, it's not uncommon for me to be able to dominate in board games just from experience and superior strategy. This game tends to nullify that. You can have a great strategy, and depending on the hand you are dealt, and the cards you play, it can all go to "heck in a hand basket" in a hurry, so it tends to even the playing field. This is a great game if you have 30 minutes to kill... or a full evening. Once you get the hang of game play, it can go really quickly, and you can be done and move on to something else. And if you are having fun, you can roll through 3 or 4 games in an evening. It's a great party game or family game. I would say that it's more suitable for older kids and adults. I have a 12 year old daughter that loves to play, but it's a little beyond my 8 year old, at least he doesn't show a lot of interest. He played with my wife one game, and he lost interest pretty quickly. Overall, it's a great game, and I highly recommend it.

Easy, the art work is impressive and the game plsy is easy.

We have and play many games as a family and really like this one. My hubby and I have 4 kids (ages 10-21) and have introduced many others to this game. Our 10 yr old loves to play this and I feel like he could have grasped the concept a couple years ago. We even get my husband involved, who is a harder sell on games! It takes a little time to set up, but once we have it out and remember the ins and outs it can move quickly. We can play a second game in 15-20 minutes. This is not a game that plays out the same each time; every set-up and subsequent move varies the outcome. There are different strategies so it's fun to switch-it-up and adapt to what is available. For reference, we also love Dominion, and sometimes Catan!

This is fun but be prepared to watch a video because the manual doesn’t cover the resource system well. Our first attempt left players confused and we ended up playing it wrong. But once you figure it out there are a lot of strategies and variation in game play to make it regular game night pick. It takes about an hour to play your first game and maybe thirty minutes from there.

My friends and I have played this game several times now. 1st time we had 4 players, 2nd time 8 players (Cities expansion) and another time with 6 players. Overall wonderful game. We have had a blast playing the game. The best part is you don't have to be a master strategist or take the fun away from other players to win. It is entirely possible that after the last turn on the phase 3 that there is no obvious winner (until you count up victory points) Very easy to play just don't get fixated on the page that lists all the cards... Some cards can be played for free if other cards are already played... I just wish it came with more pages that had all the mana and special effects listed... You can print them off easily enough with a quick google search though. I spent some time looking on the internet for another copy of the rules and happened across a handful of rules players adopted to stream-line the game. - When everyone plays at the same time, they play their card FACE DOWN and pass their hand to the next player. Then players 1 at a time flip their cards over and explain their action (If necessary) - On the last turn of each of the 3 phases, on the off chance you can not play either of the 2 cards (includes turning them into a wonder) This means you do not have the mana, and you do not have the ability to purchase enough mana from your neighbors you can play your choice of the 2 cards at the cost of all your coins (if you don't have coins, then the card is FREE to play)

This is a light to medium weight game. Easy to learn how to play, but takes some practice to be good at it. This is a tableau builder game, you are building your city around the wonder you are given to construct. Good player interaction as the hand of cards you have are the various facilities and buildings available, for you pick one to build and pass the rest of the cards to players to either side of you. The game is in 3 eras/ages and the direction you pass the cards changes from from clockwise in ages 1 and 3 and counter clockwise in age 2. This interaction also helps when utilizing the resources those players make, because you can use them. You have to score the most points to win and the tricky part is understanding how to score. Again ...fairly easy to learn, a bit tougher to strategize and excel at. Won't take many plays before you "get it" though. This is the multi-player version(2nd edition) for 3-7 players, ages 10+. I think that's fairly accurate, but slightly younger could probably play it fairly well. 60-90 minutes ...maybe a bit longer on the 1st couple plays. I think 7 Wonders: Duel is a little better, but it's roughly the same game, just how you play is a little different. I believe the 1st edition version of this game is 2-7 players, so be aware of which version you are getting from the box art. Quality game that can be considered a gateway game to get newbies into board gaming.

Sí es fácil de aprender. Puede ser complejo al inicio pero no es difícil. Si te da mucha bronca busca algún video online, hay varios. Un clásico para hasta 7 jugadores. Tiene tableros individuales con temática de maravillas arquitectónicas clásicas sobre las que hay que desarrollar una ciudad, con cartas. Entonces, tienes tu mano de cartas, seleccionas una, haces algo con ella, pasas la mano y se repite hasta quedarte sin cartas. Por tres rondas. Tan-tan. Y bueno, esta nueva edición es hermosa. Si tienes dudas, aquí estoy para decirte: "yolo, está muy bueno, cómpralo".
