I got in an argumentbwith a first aid instructor about the quality of these tourniquets. He hadn't even seen them but when I shared the price with the class, he jumped in and made derogatory comments. When the class returned the hand out tourniquets, I slipped one of these in and nobody noticed. I never had to use them in an emergency but I carry one in my shooting bag, one in the chainsaw bag, and have one in the car.

While it may perform fine the windlass is plastic and can bend under higher pressures. Better than nothing but going to get ones with a metal windlass and then move these to the training gear.

1 star as cannot rate 0. After receiving, a friend told us the tourniquets are not CAT certified. As a test my husband put it on & the windlass broke using necessary pressure. DO NOT BUY!
