Both? Both!
Picked up a pair of the 8x, looking for waterproof, offhand, porro for birdwatching, camping, some moon-gazing, tripod mountable. The quality of these is great for what you pay. Multiposition eyecups, smooth action focus barrel, very low chromatic edge effects, good depth, sharp image, low glare. Was impressed enough I immediately picked up the 6x. The reduced image shake and increased field pretty much make up for the decreased magnification. These are no fuss, easy to use binoculars, you could hand the 6x to pretty much anybody young or old and they could "make it work".The only gripes are the case is pretty flimsy and the lens covers are almost an afterthought. But plenty of expensive binoculars pooch these too...Tightened the occular covers and jury rigged the objective covers using a hole punch and ty-raps

Better view bins
Excellent view, great value too. I own both the 6x30 and 8x30 versions, 6x30 seems best though I cannot quantify the difference other than to say the view is better. Primary use is for birding.

They shouldn’t make noise
This is a review to respond to another review (video) that mentions the adjustment clicks. It doesn’t, it’s smooth and silent. That guy got a bad pair & should have returned them.My last bincs are Nikons. Took me way too long to realize they’re too big for my tiny ass head (very tiny full grown woman ova here) so I kept seeing double. Did lots of research on tiny bincs for women/children & these are PERFECT. They’re about 75$ LESS than my other pair with BETTER color!!!!! Like WAY BETTER COLOR. IM VERY PLEASED. When testing them out, not even birding, I saw a pileated woodpecker nappin in a tree bc the color is so great I could see his red lil head vs the brown tree branches. So cute n sleepy 🥹.It was between this & opticron & I’m super happy I went with these. The price almost made me think they wouldn’t be great but turns out they’re even better than my last pair. And so lightweight, no more neck strain, more room for clothes in my pack when I travel. Love love love. I’m way too poor for fancy 2k pairs and feel these should suit me well enough for many years.V happy !!

Hard to find item and meets expectations
This binocular fills a niche: lightweight, good light gathering power, sharp optics, large field of view but most of all: exceptional eye relief for eyeglass wearers. I use this for close range hunting from a tree stand and boating. You can find your moving deer in a dark forest and verify antlers quickly and the relatively low power and high eye relief makes it easier to use from a moving or rocking boat. Even if you don't need prescription lenses, you are likely to be wearing sunglasses when boating. All of my binoculars have to be waterproof. My only gripe is the objective (front) lens caps are not attached in any way, so I just leave them off when in the field. This is a common issue with lower priced binoculars. The strap is lightly padded and for a light binocular, is all that is needed. You can wear these around your neck for hours as I do and not feel like there is a brick hanging off of you. These are very similar to the Leupold Yosemite 6 x 30 which is not offered anymore.

Value of $
Great product, hands down best bang for your buck out there.Took a while and an LOT of testing other optics and purchases I now regret (and have since given away).I FINALLY have found binoculars my 4year old can easily use.. AND SEE! She now even asks to bring them outside on short walks with the dog, not just hiking. For the price, value, adjustability (little eyes and spacing) and image clarity/true colors.. can’t go wrong.if it breaks or drops I’ll follow up but won’t worry knowing the $ spent.

Sloppy adjuster focuses barrels inconsistently
First, these are an AWESOME size, weight, form factor and the perfect magnification / objective (6x30). The lenses are surprisingly clear for the price point - not perfect, but very acceptable. I wish more manufacturers made these, and specifically, I wish there was a high-quality version on the market exactly like these. That brings me to the issue with these - there is very noticeable slop in the adjuster mechanism. Enough to be irritating, but I could live with it at the price point. However, what I noticed with actual use is this causes the barrels to focus slightly differently (inconsistent) all the time so it's hard to get a crisp focus in both barrels without working the adjuster in and out, back and forth, in tiny amounts. This is very evident if moving from a far focus to a close focus, or a close focus to a far focus. In those cases, you can set the diopter so one type of focus adjustment (say far to close) will yield a mostly even focus between barrels, but the opposite focus adjustment (say close to far) will show very different focuses between barrels. I say 'mostly' because there is so much slop that setting the diopter for one type of focus adjustment makes it better for that type, but it's still inconsistent and still doesn't focus evenly most of the time. This is a non-starter for a new pair of binoculars, and won't get better with time.
