Cutter has a good weight to it. It has cut pills in half perfectly so far, you could also store your cut pills in the cutter itself, the cutter is about 2x3 inches, so its compact. Feels like powder coated aluminum, the lid stays closed, it wont easily flip open. Comes with a little pill bottle that could attach to a key chain, but I'm not to interested in that. Over all pleasantly surprised by the quality and ease of use, you will never use a plastic cutter again.

My dog has to take a pill that is large, and of course he only get half at a time. The pill measures 1 inch x 1/2 inch, and this heavy-duty pill cutter handles them easily.

Big enough for really large pills. clean cut, less powdering, and best of all, it has lines extended to ensure blade lines up with marking on the pill.

This pill splitter is the worst. You pay a lot of money for pills and it crushes them, not split them. It is almost impossible to open without using a knife. It went to the wrong street and that made it too late for me to return the piece of junk. I would not take this if they gave it to me. My dog's life depends on a splitter that actually can be opened and splits pills. This one just mashes them if you can even get it open. I gave it one star because I had to so I could write a review. They wouldn't take it back after I opened the box I guess. I would not waste money on it. Plastic splitters are much better.

My dd had this cutter, If you ever. tried to cut Bio Fles pills know what a nightmare it is. I broke other cheaper pill cutters that broke on the first time. This cutter is like a hot knife through butter. Highly recommend this pill cutter.I

I use these to split pills 30/40 at a time. Not the best for that. The lid is really hard to open fully, the metal finish slips in my hand. The blade, unguarded in any way sticks out enough to brush a knuckle or nail. It was clumsy to use repeatedly, and its weight adds to the clumsiness. I split 30 enteric coated smallish ovals, they split fairly well, only a few chipped. There’s no spare chamber for storing, no corners for pouring. This would be good for splitting large pills one at a time, but I’ll go back to a plastic one for my needs.
