## Description

For sale is a Stanwood Needlecraft yarn yardage counter. It can be clamped to a table up to 1 3/4" thick. This novel looking heavy duty yarn counter is designed by us here at Stanwood Needlecraft. It features reinforced nylon gears, the same tough material that is used in our legendary large metal ball winder. It uses the same smooth and solid beech wood used in our swift line-up. The measurement units of this counter are in metric meters. The accuracy of the winder has been tested to be +/-5%. We found the accuracy depends on how tight or lose you wind your yarn.

I also have a good bit of handspun and never had more than a rough estimate of what I'd need for a project. This has answered those questions. It may be tricky to use with bulky or uneven yarn, but it works. A bit on the pricey side, but it's made its way around our knitting group a few times, so for me, sharing added to its value. Well made, sturdy, and will give you answers with relative ease.
