Seems there’s a few folks who’ve had challenges with changing the lock code .Ok so there’s a knob on the end into which you insert the ‘key’ looking part. It’s the right hand side of the numbered barrel . That knob is what needs to be turned in step 2 & 4 in order to initialize and finalize the changing of the numbers. Seems that’s not so clear in the directions which are included in the lock set. It’s fairly straightforward to follow along once you know that little knob is there and turns.The lock itself won’t stop a real thief , but it will keep things from wandering.

I lock up two snowboards when at the mountain. Its compact and light so it fits in my snow pants. The coil extends just long enough to lock up both boards. The dial design is great for numb fingertips that lack fine motor skills.

I bought this to use as a snowboard lock. It's light and easy to carry in my pocket and snowboard with it. It's not the most sturdy, but good enough and gives me peace of mind when I leave it to get a meal.

I purchased the lock, it came in the mail, I read the instructions and followed the directions, and nothing. The lock would not relock or even close. So I ordered a replacement. It came in the mail, I followed the directions again but this time it wouldn't open. No matter what I tried, these locks refuse to work. The second lock actually fell apart in my hand. I know the locks are cheap, but I expected them to work for at least a few months. Such a waste of time. I got a refund and was told that I get to keep both locks. Yippy 2 broken locks that have to go in the trash. yup, thanks for nothing.

This has a 4 digit code, which is 10x more difficult to "break" than a 3-digit code (as offered or a different small bike lock). It's very easy to set your desired code. The rotating dials feel solid, and they have a nice click between each numeral, making it easy to open the lock by dialing in your code. It's very light and easy to carry in your pocket. The cable is thin (as advertised) and so, obviously, would be far easier to cut through than a thicker cable. A decent pair of regular pliers (with a cutting blade) would make short work of it. So, I would definitely not use this to secure an expensive bike outside, overnight, in a place where bike thefts are common. However, I plan to use it to secure my bike when I am in a store, or restaurant - basically, to stop anyone from just quietly walking away with the bike. And certainly the cable would prevent that.

Great at preventing an opportunity theft but not designed to stop a determined thief.

This is a great price and works well. offers similar protection as other locks at a considerable fairer price. Setting combo can be a tricky and a bit stiff but works well..

Nice for scooter. My daughter use it in school. Easy to use and small size.
