Excellent Book!!
I received this book today in the mail and finished it before the end of the day!! Literally in one go!! I have not read a whole book in a while, but this book had this undefinable magic about it, which led me into this 'unstoppable' reading till I reached the end!! It is a story, nicely told, funny, gripping, with its poignant moments which make you reflect, or gulp down a lump or two down your throat. At the same time the characters brought back memories of the 'olden golden' college days which I haD left behind long ago!! The nostalgia was sweet.. so hats off to the author for rekindling old memories!!The narration is nice, plain and simple, and most importantly made me laugh aloud when I read it.

Read it in a place where you can laugh openly..
I just started reading this book last night. I was continuously laughing while reading last night! It took me back to my undergrad days at BITS, Pilani. Point being not just an IITian, I guess any person from a technical education background will "damn" relate to it! (Read the book to understand why damn is quoted! ;)) The language of the book so reminds me of our vocab from those days. Giving short names to courses and profs (hope none of my profs are reading this! ;)) and trying to beat the system from bogging you down with only acads! Chances are if you were a 10-pointer, this book will be a strange area for you..so read at your own discretion! The authors sense of humor is awesome; looking forward to see the same in the rest of his books hopefully. Note to fellow BITSians - Replace ApMech with MechOpts. Major with Compres. Sashi's with Mittals About BITS Pilani: The Birla Institute of Technology and Science - BITS Pilani is a Deemed to be University established vide Sec.3 of the UGC Act, 1956 under notification No. F.12-23/63.U-2 of June 18, 1964. NAAC - National Assessment and Accreditation Council reaccredited BITS with 3.71 CGPA out of 4 and awarded "A" grade "Very Good" status. It is indeed a matter of pride that for the year 2009, BITS Pilani has been ranked among the top ranking universities along with IITs in various Magazine surveys such as India Today, Outlook, LiveMint etc. BITS offers degrees in various disciplines presently at Pilani, Dubai, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. BITS Pilani has done pioneering work in industry university collaborations in terms of Practice School and Work Integrated Learning Programmes. (Reference: [...])

Simple and Nice
Another simple novel from Chetan, somehow his simple writing and storytelling skills will hold you till last and you may get surprised and happy at the same time at certain points, over all the novel is completely different from the movie 3 idiots.

Good fun for youngsters
This is a fun book with some good humor. Some of the chapters have been dragged long which makes the reader lose interest at time but then it takes off again. It is not a highly balanced book with deep rooted message etc. but a certainly a good fun for youngsters who would like to read it once for fun.

Nostalgia
The book is all about IIT life. I graduated from the IIT Madras. Although the book is set in IIT Delhi, 20 to 25 years after my graduation, I found the student life is still the same. The author's use of the language and the subtle humor all the way through made interesting reading. I didn't stop with one book. I am on a third book by the same author now.

Short and crisp
Brings back memories from your own college days; there are times you feel you kind of wish for a book just to cheer you up without straining your brain and that’s what this book did for me. Glad I found it and can’t wait to read more of this books

Memory Lane!
Chetan made me realize what I have missed during my own IIT(M) - IIM(A) days. Loved every page. Masterful story-telling, peppered with profound observations. Brought back nostalgic memories, and occassionaly, swelling emotions. Keep it up Chetan - when can I expect your IIM fiction? Ganesh Venkat

I came to know about this book through the movie 3 idiots. I liked so much the movie and it was a surprise how different is was the story compared to the book. I liked both movie and the book, but it was easier to me to relate with the characters here than in the movie, the characters were more grounded, the interactions more natural and overall i found it more engaging. But if you are expecting to have the same story that the movie you might be disappointed, there are some mayor differences both in the story and the characters so be open minded and judge them for what they are, a very different product.

As someone who couldn’t get into IIT’s but been in an engineering college hostel of a different kind this was excellent reading. Friends are made and kept a life long only when you’ve shared the same journey. Mr. Bhagat is a superb wizard with words and kudos to him

Three Point Someone is a cute college drama, humorous and light. Even Though there are some cliche moments, those who are interested in India and cross-cultural literature should find it quite amusing. It is lightly written and it takes you inside the campus life of three Indian IIT students, facing the pressure from family and trying to survive in a twisted education system. There are also some
