If your keyring is too heavy it won't work, for most sub ~10 key keyrings though works well
I tested this neoprene bulb out in my bathtub and then at the lake. I wasn't able to use my entire keyring with this (has a gym key fob, two car key fobs, a few mini plastic store cards, a waterproof usb c drive, yubikey, and about 12 keys). It's a pretty heavy key set though and unfortunately didn't float in the bathtub. I removed a few of the key fobs and the mini usb drives though and was able to get it to float with most of my keys on it.Nice to have if you're an avid kayaker or around/in water for your job most of the day just make sure you don't have too many keys on it.

It floats... But...
OK. This will float and work for a basic key set. Very basic. It will hold only a few keys before it starts to sink. If you have 1 dedicated boat key (for example) it would be fine. Otherwise, when a couple more keys are added only the very top of the fob will be visible in the water.
