Exact replacement for Porter Cable Nicad Batteries
My original nicad batteries were getting weak. These lion batteries restore my tools to like new. The charger will not only charge my lion batteries but also my older nicads.

Jury Will Be Out for a While!
They charged up a little too quickly, if you ask me. Any time a battery charges fast I'm suspicious of its energy retention capacity. 15 min out of the box to fully charged for both batteries. Used both sparingly last night using Porter Cable drill, driver, and circular saw. Power output seemed fine and fit was perfect. I didn't run either battery long enough to get a good feeling as to the charge capacity or give me reason to go with a '5' yet. I'll come back later and reserve the right to move the score either up or down. For now I'm happy to be using some power tools that I haven't used in years.

Saved me from having to purchase new tools
These batteries definitely outperform the original NiCad batteries which are no longer available other than aftermarket, which the aftermarket NiCad batteries would regularly have to be taken apart and the strips that connect the individual batteries would have to be soldered back on ( apparently the vibration from using the tools especially the sawzall would cause them to break off). The charger that comes with these is also compatible for charging the original NiCad batteries.

Great replacement for the old batteries, but didn’t last.
Great price for 2 batteries and a charger. They are a great replacement for the old batteries. But after 5 months neither battery works anymore. The batteries won’t recharge. Very disappointing I really hope they work for a long time.

Porter Cable replacement works great
This the second time I have purchased these batteries for my husband to replace batteries for his Porter Cable tools. The first pair work fine are much lighter than the original batteries and last longer. I bought this pair as a gift so not used yet but if they are like the first pair I bought they will be fine, will know after Christmas. They arrived on time from Amazon also, thank you.
