Text itself is good but the picture quality is horrendous.
For the most part this is a well-written and informative book however it has some of the worst quality pictures I have ever come across in a dental textbook. The few chapters I've read thus far have been lucid and instructive as far as the writing is concerned, however the quality of the images accompanying the text (of which there are many) is unacceptable for this type of book especially when it comes to the pictures meant to provide the reader with a visual representations of various oral pathologies. For example, many of the images used to showcase the clinical appearance of the teeth with various defects in their enamel are literally in black and white! The use of black and white images seems to continue throughout the book and I can't for the life of me understand why they would do this especially when some images do have color. These are only marginally better than the colorless ones. They are (for the most part) of such low quality that their having color barely even makes a difference. I should note that this applies to the printed textbook only not the ebook. I don't know what the pictures look like online.
