Silky healthy blonde hair
If you have naturally blonde hair that has become a bit brassy, this product is great with restoring shine, health and natural blonde tones. Not to mention it smells amazing. This is one of my splurge, self care items. Worth the money. I get compliments when I use it. Highly recommended!

Changed the formula
The formula changed recently and not for the better. I still love the product, I swim and this is the best conditioner I have found to reduce the chlorine damage. That said, the new formula does not detangle as well nor leave hair feeling as smooth after rinsing. I still recommend this to anyone swimming or living with hard water. I have medium blonde hair starting to gray.

Moisturizing
So far so good! I use this in combination with a lightening shampoo and spray for lightening. I have natural dark blonde hair and it does work just needs time so you don’t damage your hair. So this conditioner is good for moisture as well as getting to the color goal.

So natural!
I love john Frieda Products. Im a natural blonde (medium ash), and in the last couple years experimented with color (deep copper red to auburn, to black- then slowly back to blonde) using the Frieda's color line which made my color GORGEAOUS. As I was going back to blonde though, II was paranoid about it looking gross and fake. I dont like the look of dark hair bleached as it tends to look yellow and obviously gets WAY too dry. So in addition to the subtle highlights my hair dresser added over a year, I used the "Go Blonder" formula. Its great!!!! It really does add a subtle brightness (but I would say it really makes hair lighter), and more importantly the product balances the color with the bleach so its not yellow. I call it my toner :) Only downfall is, its not super hydrating (and i really needed it after all the coloring), I even use sick amounts of the conditioner (which is fantastic). Once my hair grows out to natural it wont be a problem (my hair wont be so dry), but until then I use Biolage conditioning mask after conditioner. Its getting there and the dry pieces are even looking better.

Restorative of my blonde hair
I discovered this product during Covid when I was unable to get my usual highlighting and color at the salon. I am a natural blonde yet have quite a bit of mousy and gray coloring these days. I was very surprised to find that this product restored most of my blonde and covered up a lot of my gray strandsIt is a much more affordable option to having my hair colored at the salon.

Defrosted tips? Thawed tips?
I didn't expect much from this. I'd read that it wasnt for dark hair, and my hair is very dark brown, almost black. In the 4 days I've used it, I've been really impressed with how much lighter my hair has gotten. Ok, some of my hair has gotten. The weird thing is, for a product that comes into contact with all of my hair, *only* my roots are lighter. It's such a nice, soft, kinda sandy brown with basically black tips. What's the opposite of frosted tips? Maybe if I come up for a name with it people will think I did it on purpose.
