This thing is amazing, knocks down the mud perfectly. Just make sure to wipe off excess after each knockdown pass and you will get amazing consistency in your mud. Love this product

I had never textured dry wall in my life and so I got this for knockdown and had so much fun with it! What I really liked about it is that it is easy to lightly knock down or to do a flatter knock down by simply using your fingers on the the blade, or not, to easily regulate pressur (unlike steel or one-piece plastic blades).
