Acephate 97UP 10lbs Same Active as Orthene Insect & Fire Ant Killer

I had recently tried the one pound package before investing in 10 pounds, and found that it did the trick for fire ants. Didn’t take long for the one pound to be all gone in my big area. I have used the powder in the past, but because there is nearly always a breeze here, difficult to get it where you want it. This formulation is not only stronger concentration than the powder, but easier to apply. I drilled holes in a peanut butter jar lid to make a shaker. Works much better than spooning it on. I haven’t opened the new bag yet, but sure I will be Just as pleased.

This is a great price for a universal systemic insecticide. Been treating lawns for decades with this product. Works on shrubs also.

I have fought fire ants for years, and spent a bundle on stuff that didn't work. This stuff works like a charm I have been using it for years I have to look for Mounds now. A few years ago I sure didn't have to look for them they were everywhere. Now about once a year I make up about 15 gallons and I go out and I spray anything that looks like a mound. A bag lasts me about a year possibly two . It cost about a hundred bucks a bag but consider how much I spent in the past on stuff that didn't work. It seems like a bargain. I figure if everybody used this stuff we wouldn't have fire ants. Ha strongly recommend this stuff. I mix about 9 oz volume wise to 5 gallon of water. I found this mixture Works about the best for me. I really don't want to spray my whole yard because I have a well. I also have about 12 acres. All I do is wet the mound with the mixture, next day I come back and no ants. I spray it around the foundation of my house, but It really stinks BAD! I don't know how toxic it is, but I have pets and have had no problem. One more thing I don't spray it on my garden or around it for that matter.

Great product , works well. Smells terrible , delivery man was upset that it stank his truck and employees at the property management office also complaint of the smell. They asked me not to have that product delivered to the property again . Probably won't order again due to the complaints.

Used as a systemic to inject tree roots to control gypsy moths. This is not an official usage for this product. We looked up a different product to control gypsy moths. This is the same main active ingredient. rather than using an expensive compressed air injection system, we used a root feeder and measured in the product and it dissolves quickly in water. We saw a great reduction in the damage for the trees we injected vs the trees we did not treat.

This product does the number on fire ants. Best product I've found. A little pricey, but very effective.

It works great. Been using it for years. It's very pungent. Has a really strong smell to it Even before you open the bag. Need to be prepared to store it in something that is thick and airtight.
