Discover enchanting worlds and let your imagination soar as you color your way to inner peace with this signature inky illustration style from Johanna Basford. Review: Beautiful, imaginative pictures - Absolutely beautiful book. My daughter (10) fell in love with it immediately. Full of wonderfully imaginative pictures that spark conversations and story telling. Perfect amount of detail (some other books seem so detailed it looks like there's no room to actually colour). Thoroughly recommended. Review: It's a lovely book drawn by a lady who cares - I have all Johanna's books, and personally I can't see anything to dislike about them. What I don't like to see in a colouring book is when the artist has drawn something with so much pattern and detail that the object is practically black before starting. In Joanna's books, there may be the odd few insects similar to this, but otherwise you can get to a page and clearly plan your colouring. I also hate colouring books full of mandellas. Again, you do see some in Johanna's books, but there is also plenty of other things going on. Johanna's aim is to get more people into colouring for varying reasons and I would advise anyone to follow her. She does live videos showing hints and tips on how to colour and draw and even if her style isn't yours (she does stipulate we are all different) I defy anyone who is a beginner or casual colourist to say they've not learned anything from her. A lovely lady, a lovely tutor and lovely books. Oh, and for the ones saying that there are lots of white spaces, they are there for the colourist to add their own drawings to colour. Have you see her How to Draw Inky Wonderlands book? You should look at that too! Get on board with Johanna!

Brilliant book!
I honestly can't believe someone the awful reviews here! Not every theme is going to suit everyone so just because it's not to your taste, it does not make it a terrible book and considering some 'fans' of Johanna's are being so awful, that shows a lot. The paper is an off white, which allows white highlights to be made, takes a small amount of wet media well, although a little less than previous books, the images have lots of variety and interest with purposely more background space to allow for more creativity, while not being too empty so as to look bare. The pages are cute and have a mix of both detailed and simpler images, and the small '10 minute' projects on the small items pages are a staple to allow someone who only has a small amount of time to colour each day a sense of fulfilment by being able to complete a full mini image. There is everything from the mandalas, super detailed spreads, mini projects, animals, vehicles, and little worlds to explore! Recommended to any colouring fan!

Beautiful colouring book!
I love this colouring book, it was a Christmas present for myself. Lovely pictures, thick enough paper to use either of pencils or watercolours. Not sure about pens or markers. Not brilliant white but not quite cream either. Perhaps same as „World of Flowers“ and „Johanna’s Christmas“, not as dark as „Secret Garden“ and „Enchanted Forest“ About 80 pages inside (40 sheets, both sides). Get it and enjoy!

It’s World not Words lolll
I’m so sad I thought I was buying “words” of wonder and was ready for some deep meaningful colouring. But hey the quality is great and looks beautiful just sitting on my shelf

Beautiful. Good quality.
As always, Johanna Basford always has very good quality paper. I only use coloured pencils, so i cannot state if it works well with pens. However the paper, again as always is tinged slightly yellow/off white. I do love this because i am very sensitive to colours and bright lights. White paper with black lines really hurt my eyes and the off white page books are absolutely glorious for me. When i discovered these books i was in love! The pencils almost glide across the paper. It's so smooth and soft. Of course the better quality your pencils, the better it feels. Wax core pencils in my opinion feel better. There are various pictures to choose from to colour in. Big ones or lots of little ones you can sort of pick at in little spurts until completion. The bad point : I will admit that her previous books were MUCH better than this book however, but it's still something nice to colour in.
