Q: Does the snare stand go high enough to be used with practice pad for the player to play standing?

Not if the person is tall. I'm 6'2" and have to bend over to play standing. Under 6' might be ok. Obviously, the shorter the person the more comfortable playing standing will be. However, I really like the set. The stand is quality constructed and the pad has nice rebound.

I think they all came in one box.

Q: Does the bag hold a regular snare drum?

No, just what comes in it really. The pad case is tightly fitted and Velcro-ed on your big pouch. I can fit my notebook and a few mallets and sticks in the big pouch with the stand legs, but mostly I just use the pouch for mallets and extra headphones, and I leave the stand at home. The stand is okay, but not as adjustable as I would have liked. The knob is a huge pain. But if you’re not too tall, and won’t move it often, it is strong and ok. The sticks are unhelpful too. After 3rd lesson, I was advised to buy good sticks. My progress improved a lot when they came in. The pad is only good for the first few months of practice. After that, I never used it. I had to go to studio to use a snare & kit there. I know it’s louder, but you need the snappy rebound to do any real rudiment practice. (Like you need a basketball to have enough air to practice dribbling. Imagine practicing basketball with a bowling ball). If you MUST get a practice pad, For noise, get a really good one that can be used for a long time. Build your own custom kit and put it in a backpack that you really like, with flaps & pockets. You won’t carry a snare in it. The snare, even a practice snare, usually gets its own protective bag if you have to haul it a lot of stuff. Get headphones for protection during practice, and for listening to tracks to play along. Jamming makes the boring practice worthwhile when it comes to life. So, get a teacher to recommend what to get, and then spend your money on good useful stuff. It cost me extra in the end to have to do this twice. If this is for Christmas, get also practice tips for sticks. They just smush on, they’re cheap, and you can paradiddle anywhere on anything. And so cheap!

Q: I know the description says the basket fits 10-14, but can it fit an 8inch?

I don’t understand your question , are you asking about the stand, and other component that come in the bag, they all fix nicely in the provided bag. 10-14 are larger than 8, unless it’s the wide part ?

Great practice set for starters

Really great set easy to set up and for can starters. Nice double sided pad hard rubber 1 side and if you want a quiet practice softer pad on the back. Equipment bag was really good quality and likes that the pad vac can be detached making it easy to put away Came with 3 sets of good quality starter sticks to. Over all really good for first time drum practice

Good pad, but discolouring in normal sunlight.

I very good, responsive pad with reasonable sticks and useful stand. However, after only four weeks the pad has discoloured significantly whilst in a room with normal sunlight levels. Would be keen to know if this has happened to anyone else.

Hight quality- Exceeded all my expectations

Very fun kit if u are keen to learn drumming without the noise.Easy to use for the begginers , we as a whole family learning together and we getting quite good at rythm.Easy to put together, easy to store , has a useful bag to put in.Exceptionally well made. Details are precised, metal base and durable pad to drum on. Even the kit provided a safety sticky pads to put on. Included 3 pairs of wooden drumsticks which i was amazed by the quality.

Great bit of kit with a handy carry bag

Really happy with this. For the price this is a really nice bit of kit for drum practice. All comes packed in the purpose built rucksack so you can take the whole lot on your travels and get a bit of sticking practice in wherever you go. The sticks that come with it are very light, a bit too light for me but that's my personal preference and my only gripe. I would definitely by this again

Not as positive as others

The pad discoloured within a couple of months, in the same way as another viewer’s post so might be a common issue. I find the stand a bit wobbly and the bag not hugely useful. Already thinking about getting rid of it after only a couple of months..
