Why did you pick this product vs others?:fits well

Yea, really. Prolonged the life of my faded but now restored grill. Well, not by itself. I also needed a replacement cherry wood kettle lid handle from eBay (not an auction, just a purchase), and a new vane clean out assembly for the bottom of the grill (that thing you toggle to let/sweep the ashes out of the base to the collector plate). Weber still stocks that part. Weber gets points for Right to Repair, except I guess for the kettle lid handle...Why the sigh? A new British racing green charcoal grill would have been nice :-)

I refurbished my older Weber charcoal grill and saw this! My old grill did not have hooks on the handle. Works great!

Fits great, easy to install

Strange that the lid handle replacement easily accommodated the 24-year old Weber grill we have, but this side handle was too large to fit the metal side handle spot, by approximately 1/4". There wasn't enough "fudge factor" built in to this replacement to accommodate their older models I guess? I love the idea of this with the side hooks! I'm glad that our Weber grill is in amazing shape after all these years, but disappointed that the handles won't retrofit.Update: Somehow, without modifying it, my husband was able to make this handle fit. It works quite well and we're pleased.

Only fits the 22” grill, the 18” will need slight modification to fit. It does add needed hangers though.

Good fit very tight

I had purchased a used earlier model Gold Weber kettle that did not have the hook handles. I tried the wire hook accessory but it doesn't allow the kettle lid to sit flush which is a problem when your smoking and trying to regulate temps. These handles filled the bill. I don't have to look around anymore for my grilling utensils having forgot where I put them!Installation was very easy, just one screw to tighten down. If the handle seems looks crank down a little harder and they will cinch nice and tight.One thing to consider is the color of these handles. My kettle had the light grey handles. So these handles did not match the light grey one on my lid. Fortunately, my Weber mini-charcaol starter had the same dark grey handle on it and just switched it with my kettle lid handle.Recommended
