Very pleased with the Unitek Dock, the transfer is fairly quick depending on the drive and the device is easy to manage...connected to NAS, detected and works well. Yet to try the cloning function...else happy with the dock. It is very light but sturdy.

On opening the box you find a box. It certainly seems sturdy enough when you first hold it. You now have your choices you can simp!y you the lower cable turn on the device and go for disk to risk copy. This is achieved by p!a ring 2 hard drives into the box and press g the big but to. Until able blinking g light appears, when this happens you can start the copy by President g the button again . Once started a series of lights let you know how far the copying has gone. Talk g the other route you cM connect the device to your computer via the cable and you can use this to copy, backup date etc from you computer to external drives or vice versa so to sum up you can copy drives without his g a co.outer or you can via a computer you can backup drives , copy files to and from .

First of all - it works! For simply connecting external drives to your computer for easy access, you can't go wrong. Especially as it takes both drive sizes, has a dust cover, is hot swappable plug & play and is about as small as you could get for this purpose.The only slight niggle is when it comes to cloning. You have to press and hold the button on the front (which feels a bit flimsy) until the last blue right on the right illuminates and then immediately release and press again for the cloning to start. I guess this double-push is for safety so that you don't accidentally wipe your B drive but it took me a few goes before it worked. I would like a better quality feel to this button and then maybe a two button cloning operation e.g. Start and Confirm and maybe a light circling the big button while it's running. Small stuff really.Let's just see how long it lasts

very easy to use and very versatile now everyone wants to recover the data from their old hard drives

My old pc was extremely slow and needed replacing, the new one has a large ssd but you can never have enough storage so I bought this. It is compact and can still take 2 3.5 or 2.5 drives and comes with it's own dust cover. Delivered very quickly, an excellent purchase.

Excellent piece of kit and well made. Makes it easy to check 2.5 and 3.5 inch internal drives as well as clone them over.Clone operation from smaller to larger drive partitions larger drive which is worth remembering.All in all, really impressed.

Does what it says on the tin. Not tried it for file copying yet as I bought is as a caddy. Plugged it in and it read the drive with no problems. My only gripe is the fitting of the drive in the slots are a little loose and not as snug as I would like but as said, it does the job its meant to.

Brilliant bit of kit. Ive got 2 of theses now. The only thing to note is you can only clone to the same size or a larger drive.
