The Redemption of Time: A Three-Body Problem Novel

perfect ending
Perfect ending to the three body problem. Not as exciting or suspenseful as the trilogy but very satisfying. Totally recommend.

Very good job, even if there's now way it reaches the heights of Cixin Liu's masterpiece.
Look, when you decide to add book 4 to one of the all-time sci-fi masterpieces (in my mind, the best), you're asking for trouble. It's not just Liu's incredible imagination that this Baoshu is aiming to match, it's brilliant writing. In the former, Baoshu does very well. He adds some nice touches in the backstory, explaining some open loops in the original. It's also a very clever ending. Concerning the writing, Baoshu's not in Liu's class (at least yet.) Some of the writing is trite, and I don't think it has anything to do with the translation. He also tends to meander, making me wonder just where the heck he's going at times. He does manage to tie everything up nicely in the end. It was worth the read, though I think it should be going for about half the price.

Perfect ending
A bit hard to read at start, maybee also because English is not my native language. But all in all a great ending of a Three Body Problem.

Not necessary to the canon.
Interesting, but not necessary to The Body Problem canon.Yun Tianmimg fell in love and lived a life with AA, on planet blue. They grew old together and after she died, he killed himself. Only to be resurrected by “god” and sent on a mission…That’s actually the premise.I knew that it would not be up to Liu’s quality of writing, but I wasn’t prepared for how off it would be.When Liu goes into detail, you feel as though you’ve gotten a simplified course in physics. When Baoshu goes into detail, is just a pedantic diatribe that goes oh for far, too long.I kept putting the book down and after page 150, I began just skimming every other paragraph and finally just skipped about 75 pages altogether as it was just so long, drawn out and boring. And to top it off, Tianming is really Cixin Liu, and The Three Body Problem is being written to record his previous life in the past universe. And the might,y Trisolaran race being insects the size of rice with no individual intelligence…. I reject that entirely. This copy may be heading to the used bookstore soon as it’s not a candidate for a re-read.

Decent fanfic!
I thought this book had a lot of fun ideas and well worth a read if you're a fan of the Three Body Problem books.

Different Writer, Great Read
The tone differs from the original. But it very neatly ties up all the plot holes and missing details from the trilogy, making it essential for those who are at unease over the original ending. The story is highly creative and imaginative. Deducting a single star because it can get a bit “spiritual” at times when looking at the expanse of the cosmos but it’s a great story that I’ll be carrying with me for the rest of my life

A very worthy paraquel to Three Body Problem
If the original three body problem trilogy left you awed and stimulated but unsatisfied, this book puts a bow on it. Baoshu does a fantastuc homage to Cixin and most of your favorite characters come back. Great reveal about the Trisolarans!

Feels More Like Manga Than a Novel
The fourth book's distinct style is notable. The partner swap from the third book's conclusion makes great fodder for this fanfic. It's an entertaining read, though it might not be for everyone.

Don't Give Up
I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the original series. The translation is good. Mind blowing ideas, carefully constructed plot. Confusing in it's individual sections, it does come together well at the very end. Most enjoyable.
