seems to be TPU!
I was worried this might be vinyl/PVC despite the description due to its smell, but I did the Beilstein test with a blowtorch and some copper wire and it passed! It's definitely not vinyl/PVC, and melted as I expect TPU would. It is also stretchy like TPU.

Nice protective layer but will not lay flat
I purchased this mat to put under our coffee maker. It protects from spills but it was shipped all rolled up and will not lay flat. I worry I will spill my coffee mug because it is not flat.

It is thicker than I thought, very smooth, I bought it for setting the bottom for my fish tank, fitted very well.

Does not sit flat
Used this product to protect desk top and the tops to my bed tables. Unfortunately, I can not get them to lay flat, it's been weeks. (Weight applied )

This is too flexible material and very static.
This is not what I am expecting. I should have buy from Office Depot. This one it won't stay flat on my desk even though I had used heavy objects to place on all corners to make it stays flat but it still rolls or curves up. I regret buy it and too late for me to return. It is very static too!

packaging
It arrived rolled up and I've spent 3 days now trying to flatten it. And it also is a lot smaller than I expected it to be. Hopefully I can get it to be flat soon.
