Yummm!
This is my all-time favorite soup. This product is very difficult to find in local brick and mortar stores. Thankfully Amazon sells It! With winter approaching, I am ready for those wet, cold days. The pure, creamy green pea taste is unsullied by funky ham/bacon bits that other manufacturers add to their version of green pea soup. This is the original, and still the best.

My First Love (For Soup, That Is)
I have loved Campbell's Green Pea Soup for a long time. It was sold on Wednesdays and Fridays at a restaurant in Rockford, Illinois all through winter. The first time I had this, I bought a cup. It was so good that I bought a bowl, as well. Ever since then, I have enjoyed it whenever I can find it. It is hard to find on store shelves, so when I have been able to find this, I always try to stock up, and keep a couple of cans on hand. Buying it by the case as Amazon sells it is the best buy around, as otherwise it is $2.19 - 2.99 a CAN!While the instructions on the can tell you to blend in a can of water, I use milk. I admit that this is hardly diet fare, but then, what do you want for a bowl of soup that will keep you warm all day in the winter? This is a hearty soup that sticks to your ribs and gives you that "all is well" feeling. Green peas that have been cooked to perfection, and then pureed to a silky smooth texture that keeps you going all afternoon, and invites you to dip big chunks of hearty, buttered bread.I have rated this as five stars. This is a higher rating than I give to MacDonald's French Fries! One caveat: One 12 ounce serving has 870 mg of sodium, so it is not something I would serve to someone with kidney problems. On the other hand, there are four grams of fiber, so it is not all bad.All in all, when I make it with milk and eat it with buttered bread, it is a sybaritic treat!

A Blast from the Past...
This is a blast from my past. I loved the way grandma made Campbell's Green Pea Soup (she added butter), and the way mom made Campbell's Tomato Soup (she made it with milk). When I got these two ladies on track with what the other did best, life was good. I can't seem to find Green Pea in stores anymore, but am so glad to have it through Amazon. I'm ordering my second case today. Like others here, I don't actually like peas. This stuff, though, is terrific!

Good ol' soup
One of hubby's favorite soups. Getting hard to find in stores. Very thick in can, so it takes some work to avoid lumps, but worth the effort.

Campbell's Red and White Green Pea Soup
I buy a case of these regularly through Amazon Subscribe and Save program. My 11 year old daughter is a finicky vegetarian and she loves this soup. This soup is hard to find in local stores without the ham or bacon. This one is completely vegetarian, peas only. Plus, Amazon sends the whole heavy case right to your house and the price is right too. The soup is very solid coming out of the can (hence, condensed), so it is good to use a fork and mash it a little as you add the liquid slowly while cooking. It says to add a can of water, but I always use milk because it makes it very creamy, thick and yummy after cooking. Also, adding milk combined with the peas makes it a perfect protein and therefore an even more healthy choice. You may need to keep an eye on the sodium content though. Otherwise, simply delicious and nutritious.

Great pea soup: not at all like the ham and split pea soup variety.
Great canned soup. I cannot stand the green pea and ham soup by Campbells, but this is a really good, hearty soup with a clean, split pea flavor without the strong, artificial smoke flavor. My family love it!
