RATS. RATS. WERE THE RATS.
unironicly the best ratrap figure out there with a great face sculpt with paint that wont chip and a adorable rat mode. i still play with it as a desk toy just for the transformation alone mainly for how small it is. if you want a ratrap. get this one. its at a good price and you're definitely getting your moneys worth out of him. plus his transformation is no hastle for his size. with durable joints which is surprising since small balljoints usually suck on tf figures.

As Described
If you're expecting a big toy of this diminutive Maximal, look elsewhere. This Rattrap toy is, as described, about three and a half (3 1/2) inches tall in bot mode and shorter in beast mode (unless you measure nose to tail, then it's only slightly shorter). He's a bit tight while transforming, though it took me a few tries to get used to transforming without feeling like I'd break something.

Reliving my childhood!
If I remember correctly…. The show BEAST WARS came out in 1996. I didn’t grow up watching the original Transformers series, as a matter of fact I wasn’t even born when that show was running. No BEAST WARS was my introduction into the world of Transformers and I have to say how happy I am to see these characters comeback in plastic form once again. Rattrap although not my favorite character of the entire series is completely unforgettable. I spent a little over the original price here on Amazon than lets say my local Target. If I remember the prices correctly, in Target these small figures are around 10 to 15 dollars plus taxes where as on Amazon I payed around 20 to 24 dollars. I also understand that shipping and taxes was added in to my purchase but whatever the case I was happy with the price. The figure itself! It’s really cool! Minimal painting but just enough to make it resemble Rattrap. Surprisingly articulation is very good for such a small figure. Although often these smaller Transformers figure suffer with articulation Rattrap is just filled with decent movement and I haven’t had any trouble putting him in any poses. There is no waist swivel so that’s the one flaw on the figure but does hurt it over all. Transformation is pretty simple and easy to understand thanks to the manual that comes along with this figure. Now here’s the thing. I know I said that Rattrap has a lot of articulation but I guess what I should have said is “he has a lot of articulation in his robot mode.” Yea sorry guys his Beast mode has little to no articulation what so ever but let’s be fair right? It’s a small Transformers figure. It’s not the end of the world in fact I kinda like the idea that it has no articulation in Beast mode. Really gives me that vibes when I owned the old but original Rattrap figure. Over all really cool nostalgic figure (for me at least) if your a fan of BEAST WARS how can you pass on this? It’s a must get. For the casual fans? It’s still a Transformers figure and a good one at that. Definitely recommend picking it up.

"I hate to say it, but we're trapped like rats."
One of my favorite figure characters in the Beast Wars show and this figure is a great size and mold.
