This will be my 4th book in this series. Mel Bay addresses a lot of different keys and has exercises and simple melodies that are written in the key being practiced. I think the exposure to different keys is a great learning experience and I asked my instructor to continue in this series. By progressively going through every key, adding one more sharp makes the new key seem simple and effortless. There are mistakes and flaws (probably from the publisher) but that is still a learning experience. I have felt fortunate to have had lessons that were on my beginner level so I wouldn't get discouraged by something too difficult for me. I have little time to practice, I have a lot on my plate, but after 7 years, I'm still hanging in there.
