These are small enough to easily swallow

UPDATED REVIEW, 9/5/22: An excellent bargain for sodium tablets, identical to more expensive brands. If you genuinely need them, this is a great buy as they're inexpensive and easy to swallow. (And way better than eating handfuls of salt. Believe me, I tried that! Blech.) BUT, Important Medical Note! I originally bought and used these, for quite some time, because my doctor had said I needed them for my low blood sodium level. Wrong! I later learned from a kidney specialist that that was terrible advice. The sodium level in your blood work has nothing to do with the amount of sodium you consume. (Apparently, that sodium level is regulated by your brain.) In fact, consuming more sodium in my case was the opposite of what I needed to be doing! I was told to drink less water. That said, please do not take this as personal medical advice. As always, talk to a competent doctor/kidney specialist. Yep, I changed doctors!

Mom was having trouble swallowing the 1000mg tablets that her doctor prescribed, but two of these are manageable.

It gives salt. The issue is that it's Salty going down, no coating - and when you take on an empty stomach you will get nausea as the salt burns a hole in your stomach (figuratively) where the concentrated pill is. Drinking water doesn't help because it bypasses the stomach. You'd have to drink a waterfall. Also I got this weird issue where after I took 2 or 3 with a lot of water for the first time, I had gratuitous, to the point I probably couldn't drowned in it, of saliva produced. I had to keep swallowing the saliva and it became gross. I didn't know a human could produce that much. Didn't happen after. I stopped using these without food. Even then they can cause issues with food if it hasn't dissolved.

Bought these for my mom to keep her sodium in a safe range. The sodium tablets at the hospital were 1g, large and difficult to swallow. They caused her to vomit and just a pain to crush up and mix with something to make them tolerable. These 500 mg are easy to swallow and do not upset her stomach when she takes one after a meal. These are a win for us due to there size and smaller dosage.

My mom is 89 and a few years ago ended up in the hospital with low electrolytes and a dangerously low sodium level. I gave her electrolytes for a few years then her sodium started dropping again. I decided to try these and it has been good again! These are literally saving her life!
