Road Trip! A Whiskers Hollow Adventure

Highly recommend this book by Steve Light. I have great fun every time I read to my grandchildren and they absolutely love Road Trip! It is so full of imagery and entertains the children every time. It has become their favorite book when reading time comes.You can really tell there was a lot of love put into this book.

This book is great for kids 2-5 that love adventure and exploring imaginary worlds. What a great place Whiskers Hollow is where animals drive cars in the trees. And elephants junk trees full of treasures. A delightful story and intricate illustrations make this book great.You must see the detailed illustrations.You see the life in the characters. I rate this book 5 Stars! A must get!

This is a beautiful children's story written by the incredibly talented author/illustrator Steve Light. The whimsical, fun illustrations and fun story delights our four year old constantly! A must read.

Best book ever! My grandkids love Whiskers Hollow and this whole world Steve Light has created.

Three different animal friends set out for Elephant’s Old Junk Tree to find a broken part for their truck. Although they have an adventure getting together for the trip and going there, there is even more fun once they arrive. The junk tree provides lots of exploring fun, including a chance to get very dirty, but not the part they came for—or does it?Despite each of the animals having distinct personalities, they are all able to be friends, and have lots of fun with each other. In the end, working together provides what they need.Little ones through first grade will like this over-sized, hard-backed, five-star picture book. The author, who is also the illustrator, provides intricate drawings about each of the animal’s homes, the road trip, and the Junk Tree. Driving along the tree branches, Bear has a crash. One headlight on his car is broken. Over their various objections, Bear enlists the help of Mouse, Rabbit and Donkey. They zip through the various features in Whiskers Hollow. Arriving at Elephant’s Old Junk Tree, they finally find a replacement headlight with difficulty. This diverse foursome works well together. The detailed, intricate drawings invite readers into this magical world. Whimsical vehicles traverse tree limbs. The reader can use the map on the end papers to trace Bear’s route across the area. Hopefully this is one of many titles to take place in Whiskers Hollow.

This is an adorable story about a Bear whose car needs a new headlight, which leads to a road trip adventure with some friends -- over a bridge, through a thorny tunnel, and eventually to Elephant's Old Junk Tree where they find all kinds of surprises. Our 3 year old enjoyed the story and has been poring over all of the delightful details in the illustrations. It reminded us of another fun book by Steve Light, "The Bunny Burrow Buyer's Book", but with much more developed story, characters, and illustrations. I hope we'll get to see more from the world of Whiskers Hollow soon.
