Is there any way to have the front and rear mics separate to the left and right stereo audio?

Not unless you want to spend quite a few bucks for the external wireless mic systems. If you get the media mod and then add a small mic to that you can get some really good sound and then separate it out in editing. If you check YouTube there are some great videos that will help you out with different options for the camera.

No, this Media Mod can only be used with the HERO9 Black. The dimensions are different from that of the HERO8 Black Media Mod.

Great mod. GoPro 12

Super cool mod works with my GoPro 12 I use for a webcam for my gaming PC set up. It's really nice to have because you can use it for other recordings of outtings whatever it is. The mic on it sounds I'd say better in that it sounds more like it's trying to be a little like a dynamic Mic. I just like the ability to maximize my recordings it's super easy to use and you can fit it on easily just open it and slip it in..Giggity.

I'm so mad it took me like damn near 3 years to realize I needed this. Like where the hell was the announcement for this? I needed this so long ago...ugh. it has made, literally everything i do, WAY easier. The quality is damn good and it's snug. Feels cheap

Price was quite expensive in my opinion once receiving the item it feels like a flimsy plastic and sometimes using it taking out the Gopro it feels like it was gonna break or snap apart. Overall it works and the way i want it to. The microphone questionable compared to raw audio

Turned My GoPro Into a Redneck News Studio

Bought this here fancy Media Mod for my HERO13, and now I reckon I’m one step away from startin’ my own backwoods TV station. The built-in mic makes my voice sound like I’m narratin’ a fishin’ documentary, and the ports are so handy I can plug in more gadgets than my cousin Earl’s bass boat. Only downside—now my GoPro’s dressed up so nice, I feel like I gotta wear a shirt when I film.
