Great music stand
Purchased this for our church for solo singers to use. Nice, well built stand. Sturdy and fully adjustable. Stand adjusts vertically and the music holder tilts to user's preference. Light weight and not heavy but doesn't tip over easily either. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this stand.

Tall stand is legit
The tall stand (CN2126CHM) is definitely tall. At 6'3", it's easy to set a comfortable height to play guitar while standing. High quality parts. Assembles in a minute. Instructions provided. Powder-coated metal and chrome are sturdy and adjust simply: Just pull up and push down. It stays in place. Only plastic part is the connector/tilt portion which attaches to the chrome extender. I recommend getting the floor protector inserts as well unless you're putting it on carpet or concrete. This is a high-quality, buy-it-for-life piece of equipment and I'm glad I didn't take a cheaper, unproven option.

outstanding stand for standing!
I enjoy standing and playing and at 6'1" my folding stand left me slouching just to see the music, and at max height it was very unstable. The 48TA is pretty awesome -- plenty high enough and very solid. Reminds me of the stands we used (and abused) in school. It feels a little rough when adjusting the height ( I really have to muscle it up and down), but that just tells me it's not going to drop under weight. As others mentioned, not the greatest for sitting and playing, unless you're on risers, in which case you'll be a hero if you show up with this.setup requires a flathead screwdriver and an 11/16 wrench (or socket). Probably could've done it with a monkey wrench, but might've been tedious -- you really want to get that bottom bolt nice and tight.

Beautiful
Beautiful. I love it so much. The stand is at the perfect height for me. I am able to read my books at eye level and the stand is able to hold the weight of heavy textbooks and tablets all at once. It is everything that I expected and I love that it’s Made in USA! :)))))

Needed a solid unit for heavy script binder.
I needed a heavy duty music stand that was also tall enough for a tall performer to easily read sheets from while still retaining posture for solid delivery recording. At first, when I unboxed and assembled the unit, being used to mic stands (righty-tighty lefty-loosy), I was expecting a fastening device where I fixed the height I needed. There was none, but instead a sort of friction/resistance device internally engineered.I was a little worried it would not be able to solidly support on a constant basis the large and heavy album script I needed rehearsed, but it has held up well with a good ten pound script binder on it for several weeks now, and I am no longer worried and in fact, pleased the engineering is solid enough for me not to have to constantly remember to loosen or tighten a more traditional technology. Heaven knows performers are hectic as it is during production prep, so that was a boon to have one less step in the set up.The unit has travelled well to various locations around the bay where I choose to rehearse (everyone wants the finished product so nobody really wants to hear rehearsing anyway unless they are in the feedback loop) and so far, the waterbirds at shoreline park and the occasional passerby who stops to listen for a few beats of the new story are not complaining.Since a music stand is supposed to last a performer for years, I must say the real test will be over time, but so far I am happy with this purchase, and would recommend it to tall performers like me who need to maintain a large production manuscript or score solidly and with consistent reliability (at least for the months I have owned the item.)

The real deal
This is the same stand I recall using decades ago in college symphonic band. Perfect for my kiddo to practice trumpet. Very sturdy and easily adjustable. No more flimsy folding stands.

Excellent stand especially for tall people
Great stand. Very sturdy. Goes super high. Bought for my 5’6 son but also works for my 4’ son, though would not work for anyone shorter than that. Could definitely work for people over 6’.

Great for average height people too.
I'm not very tall, 5' 9". This one was suggested as I have some shoulder neck issues. The added height keeps my body in good posture. Pain immediately lessened.. I would suggest to everyone, even those of average height. Great buy
