I lost interest during 1st attempt but picked it back up a year later
2013:I Heart Paris is the third book in Lindsey Kelk's I Heart series. The series includes:#1-I Heart New York#2-I Heart Hollywood#3-I Heart Paris#4-I Heart Vegas#5-I Heart London#6-I Heart ChristmasI read books one and two in 2012 and loved them! I lost interest in the third book, I Heart Paris. Thinking it was just poor timing, I picked it back up a year later and finished it. Out of the three that I have read, I Heart Paris is my least favorite but it's not bad. I gave it 3.5 stars, rounding up to 4.The heroine in the I Heart series is Angela Clark, a British broken-hearted girl who runs away from her drama in London to America. Her adventures are so funny, classic chick-lit humor but unfortunately, I Heart Paris didn't offer much of that humor until the end. I think that's why I lost interest. I'm glad I finished it though because the ending was good, with a few laugh out loud moments. I already own the fourth book (prematurely buying the series after loving the first two) so I will likely continue the series. My favorite quote:It was only just after ten but people were already lining up for the show. For a moment, I forgot how pissed off I was with Alex and just felt incredibly proud. I couldn't imagine how it must feel to see people queuing to see you do something you loved. No one was ever likely to stand in line to watch me inhale a tub of Phish Food and settle in for a three-hour America's Next Top Model marathon. I made a mental note actually to get around to doing something relevant with my life. Or at least have a think about it."(less)2012:I adored the first two books in the I Heart series but I lost interest in this one quick. Her trust issues are getting old and in my opinion there wasn't enough other plot to make up for it. I was so excited about this series but I don't think I'll continue.

Ah! The City of ❤️ & Fashion!!
I am really loving this entire series of books 😍😍😍I can't believe the amazing life this chick has......I also cannot believe how much trouble and how naive she is also.......but it would not be the same, laugh out loud book the characters were any different.I must say that this book was especially wonderful as it allowede to reminisce and relive my trip to Paris a couple years ago.....where Angela went, I had been also. Brilliant book, loved every minute of it.I am off to Las Vegas with Angela and the gang now 😍 so Bon Voyage Paris, until we meet again 😉

Likable characters, OK stoary
If you like the other I heart stories, you will like this one just fine. Other reviewers aren't as fond of the main character as I am. But she is really OK and gets it together at the end of every book. I am a huge fan of British chick lit so this might really color my reviews, but the books have good plots, good, likable characters and great humor. The story moves right along are and PERFECT for an afternoon at the beach, a lazy rainy day or a great read into the night. One of those books that will take you to another place for awhile and let you just forget about whatever your real life is about ... I consider that a good book.

Funny, Light and a Tad Annoying
For this chaotic adventure, Angela and Alex head to Paris. Alex's band is playing in a festival and Angie gets to tag along. Not all fun of course. She also has to keep writing her blog and also write a traveler's article for a fashion magazine called Belle. She has no idea what is what in Paris and expects to have help from Virginie (who works for Belle) and CiCi (who works for The Look). However, fashion and jealousy are dangerous in the world of Paris and of course typical Angela, anything that can go wrong....will.While I did enjoy this one more than Hollywood, it doesn't hold a candle to New York. This had major Devil Wears Prada vibes so parts of it were funny with equal parts frustration. I honestly don't know what I would do if I had a friend like Angela... probably take out some disaster insurance policy for best friends 🤣🤣🤣I'm interested to see what chaos and disruption happens on her next adventure.

Wanted a Real Book and Got It!
I'm so happy to have the real book... I'm not a huge fan of ebooks but this series was really difficult to find in anything but!

J'adore
This is the third instalment of the I Heart series. We met Angela when she ran off to New York after a run in with her fiancé and his mistress in the back seat of their Range Rover and followed her to Hollywood where she was supposed to interview fellow Brit actor James Jacobs, but accidentally ended up coercing him to come out to the world in order to save her skin with her boss, and now we join her as she travels to Paris, partly for work and partly for a romantic break with rock star boyfriend Alex.Angela has finally got that big break she was looking for with the opportunity to write an insider's guide on the hipster, up and coming Paris, while Alex headlines at a French music festival. History throws a bit of a spanner in the works as Alex's ex lives in the city and with Angela so close to home the feeling of being home sick is stronger than ever.If you've read my reviews of the other books in the I Heart series, you'll know that I love these books. This one didn't disappoint either. I laughed out loud, I text quotes to my friend and read bits aloud to my sister. Lindsey has this knack of writing absolutely hilarious one liners and the thing about it is, is it's similar to my sense of humour and I feel like Angela and me go way back! I've never really highlighted any particular quotes from books, but here is one example of what I'm talking about - "a grin that would make the Cheshire cat look like a moody shit." Angela is pretty sarcastic at the best of times but as it's built in to our British nature it makes for a funny read.In this book we get to go a lot deeper into Alex's character and build up a bit of his story. We know from the first two books that he was royally screwed over by his ex but now we get to know her too we get to hate on her even more. I love Alex, he is definitely one of my top book boyfriends of all time so I really enjoyed getting to know his character a bit better. Disaster seems to follow Angela no matter where she goes and this time it's no different. Although it will sometimes have you laughing out loud it will also have you on the brink of tears.Paris is another great setting for Angela's adventures. The description and detail of the surrounding brought back memories of being there when I was 16, but if you've not been it would be quite easy to imagine you were there with Angela.Overall another great read from Lindsey!
