Great book!
Full of important life principles. I plan to give copies as gifts to young adults.

One of the keys-Forgiveness
I had no idea my OWN lack of forgiveness was hindering my happiness and a road block to my relationship with my mother. This book brings up so many areas in life you wouldn’t think are tied to happiness and dr cloud backs with scripture too!

LOVE DR. CLOUD!
I am fortunate enough to have seen Dr. Cloud live once and am going again in January, and let me tell you, he puts on a great seminar.I love this book, I watched and believe in The Secret years ago. Everyone says it's new-agey or blasphemy but Dr. Cloud just proves (along with a couple of pastors I know) that all the principles in the Secret are biblically based. Anyone who truly knows and studies the Bible knows it's true also.Dr. Cloud goes step by step and explains to you how each of his keys works and the scripture behind them. Wonderful book, completely changed my outlook on several things and i already feel a difference. I can't wait to see him live in January!

Good book even if you are an agnostic.
I was surprised how much I liked this book. I had read Martin Seligmans books on optimism and happiness, so I’m familiar with the ideas about how so much of what is written in the Bible combats thoughts and practices that lead to depression. This book quotes Dr Seligmans thoughts and ideas, but does a better job of relating Seligmans teachings directly to sections of the Bible. If you are a Christian and are struggling with depression, this is a must read for you. But, I must say, even as a non-Christian, I found the book very good. With all the angst in this world, everyone needs a book that reminds us how to be happy and feel good about ourselves. Depression is a learned behavior and, with careful study and practice, can be unlearned for a happier life.

Pleasantly surprised by how informative the book was
Originally, I got this book only because a friend of mine highly recommended it. Typically I hate "HOW TO" books. I find it highly improbable that a book is capable of telling me how to live my life better than myself when I'm the one living it! I was thoroughly suprised by this book when I started reading. It's a informational book, but not one of those pushy books where I feel like it's either -- a. trying to make me feel better about myself or b. making me feel like I'm one of the crappiest people alive because I don't know how to live my life. -- I was finding myself savoring the book and limiting myself to how much I could read a day just so I didn't finish it all at once.

A real pick-me-up
This last year we've been facing some difficulties, and I needed to pull myself out of the funk my frustration had created in me. I needed to get some perspective. Needed something to read that could focus my mind in a positive direction. Cloud's book did just that. The material is easy to digest, quickly, and the mere reading of it felt calming to me. I realized that no matter what challenges we're facing in any given year, the choice to be happy is largely about perspective and action. Choose this book, if you're feeling blue or hopeless. Maybe it'll pick you up and help you help yourself, like it did me. A good read.

The Law of Happiness
This book is amazing. It is full of common knowledge wrapped in a package giving you the steps to act on filling your life with happiness. Henry Cloud is a genius, not to mention a gifted writer. We all know that for most people happiness is a choice. Why is it then that so many of us are unhappy, egocentric whiners? Cloud lays it out in simple easy to follow steps. I will re-read this book anytime I need an attitude adjustment.

Great read
I love the approach on the topic of Dr. Cloud that is different from other books in happiness. It includes times of difficulty and hardship. I like the personal anecdotes that give such nice examples.
