Has anyone used a "free & clear" detergent like seventh generation's for this sleep sack?  woolino recommends an expensive wool wash....thanks!

I regularly use Tide free & clear for all of my wool clothing and would do the same for this sleep sack. I've not damaged any of my wool in the washer. The key is to not use any detergent with fabric softeners, fragrance, or any type of oil. These ingredients will coat the wool fibers and prevent them from properly wicking moisture which will reduce their "4 season" performance. Woolite is the worst thing you can use to wash quality wool.

What laundry detergent do you all recommend to wash this with?

I use ecos free and clear, just a small amount on the most gentle cycle of my washer, then hang dry. I've had no problems washing it this way. I was going to buy some woo lite but then realized the same gentle detergent I use for cloth diapers would also do the trick. I only wash it if there's been a major diaper leak , otherwise I just air it out on the crib between wearigs.

What&rsquo;s the difference between this and the basic 4 seasons Woolino sleep sack? Do you prefer one over the other?

Thank you for your message.  Both Woolino 4-Season sleep bag collections have the same fabric weights, merino wool lining and organic cotton outer layer.  The differences are highlighted below:

Woolino 4-Season Universal Baby Sleep Bag:
The Universal Baby Sleep bag is designed for children between 2 months and 2 years of age.
This model has underarm snaps for adjusting the size of the arm holes.  
Travel slots for safety harnesses are available for use in strollers, bouncers, and other seats.  
There are shoulder snaps on both shoulders.

*This sleep bag offers convenience with the shoulder snaps and travel slot.  The Universal sizing is designed for children between 23-35inches tall (58-89cm) and 10-32 pounds (4.6-14.5kg). There will be extra length in this sleep bag when your baby is young.

Woolino 4-Season Basic Sleep Bag 
The Basic sleep bag has a simpler design.  There are no snaps at the shoulder and no adjustable arm hole snaps.
There is no travel slot available on this bag.
This bag is more traditionally sized, and available in 0-6, 6-18 and 18-36 month sizes.
The Basic sleep bag is marked at a lower price than the Universal sleep bag.

Can we put it in a dryer or air dry it?

For best wear and product longevity, we recommend flat dry for the Woolino 4 Season Sleep Bag. Air dry on the "no heat" setting may also be used.
