It works!!!
I don’t give reviews but this is an exemption. I’m about to donate this old 2012 Macbook Pro of mine even thou I feel bad because I love the specs of this laptop. I did a research and I found this, hesitated but since it’s cheap, it’s a risk so I went for it and OMG, it works, my laptop came alive like freshly new, this is awesome!!!

Exactly as described, easy to use
Exactly what was needed to get High Sierra reinstalled. Mine did not come with instructions but the process of installing was intuitive enough I did not need them. Worked perfectly. Thank you!

Worked perfectly!!
Worked as described perfectly! Installation was simple and straight-forward; formatted drive, installed OS.This is perfect for someone who does not have another Apple computer to setup the software with. One item to note for this older software, when you get to the Terms and Conditions page, simply bypass and do not enter your ID information (until later).

What a Great Find!
We were going to sell or donate my old mac so my husband wiped it clean of all data and the operating system went "poof". We tried all different ways to reload it but none worked. I discovered this after researching on line and I got it up and running and gave it to a good friend as a gift.

Worked as expected- very happy to revive an old machine to use as a media server on my network.

Worked perfectly to reset and restore an old iMac.
Worked perfectly. Yes, you can take a USB stick and make one of these by downloading the installer and using the proper command it terminal. But, if you have a newer Mac with Apple Silicon, it will not work. And my old Mac was crashing every time I tried to create a boot drive. So there was no way to make one myself. This did the trip immediately and allowed me to wipe my old Mac before sale. Also, if you make your own, you have to buy a memory stick anyway.
