Dime size, quarter size?** A: Much smaller than a dime: about 1/4" diameter by 1/16" thick. Looks about the size of a baby aspirin to me. **Q: I opened the bottle to find a thick layer of powder inside, is this normal? All of the tablets are still intact.** A: I called the Nature Made and they sad due to the pills being non-coated, during shipping they might shed a bit of the outer layer. But dosing/efficacy should not be impacted. I see a flaw in pill design, the top and bottom edges have a bit of an extra "lip" which I can see sometimes chips off a bit, adding to the residue/powder inside the bottle. **Q: The 3mg dose gives great sleep but bad dreams! If I cut it in half (take 1.5mg instead), would it still help me sleep while stopping the wild dreams?** A: Perhaps whatever is causing you to lose sleep is what's manifesting itself as bad dreams, nightmares, and such. I recommend you not watch any computer screens before going to bed and turning off all Wi-Fi. Schedule a 30-minute wind-down time right before bed and listen to some of that new age relaxation music.
