Excellent burr grinder
I have owned numerous coffee grinders over the last thirty years including the large KitchenAid burr grinder that I owned since 2016. It worked well but I never really loved it, it also was very noisy. The kitchen aid pictured that I just purchased is absolutely the best grinder I have ever owned. KitchenAid hit a home run with this grinder. It is so quiet you hardly hear it. The quietest coffee grinder I have ever owned and I’ve owned many different brands. It grinds to perfection and the price is beyond reasonable for such a great burr grinder. Even if you don’t need a new grinder I HIGHLY recommend you get this superb piece of equipment. It is truly fantastic.

A Well-Designed Grinder
I bought this grinder 11 months ago and I’m happy with it.PROS— AMOUNT OF COFFEE TO GRIND: It does the math for you. Tell it the number of cups and grind size and press the button. Additionally, you can alter any of the variables to suit your taste. Analogous to weighing your coffee and changing the weight.— CONSISTENCY: I find the grind size very consistent.— STATIC: None! The coffee flows across a small grounding device to remove the static charge. The device consists of a U-shaped piece of metal with 2 wires connecting the legs of the “U.” About 4 moths ago, static began to build up. I flipped the grinder on its side, cleaned the device with a small brush, and the static was gone.— PORTAFILTER HOLDER: It has a grind size for espresso, and a device to hold a portafilter, allowing the coffee to empty directly into it.— NEATNESS: No mess. I can’t think of a time when it left grounds on the counter after grinding.CONS— REMOVING THE BURR: To remove the burr for cleaning, you unscrew it using a wire hoop that loops above burr. The burr takes a lot of force to twist it, and the loop comes off because it wasn’t designed well. A real pain, but for me, not enough of a reason to buy a different brand.— TRANSPARENT HOPPER: I wish the hopper was shaded instead of clear. Coffee beans should be kept from light to be at their freshest, so I limit the amount of beans I add each time. I could cover it with a small towel, but it would lose some aesthetics.Note: The pricing is unusual. Don’t pay list price! Even on the Kitchen Aid website, it was $25 under list and it frequently goes on sale (I bought it on an Amazon Mother’s Day sale at 38% off list. Check back on any major holiday). Amazon usually sells it cheaper than the Kitchen Aid site.Would I buy it again? Yes. All in all, I think I made a good choice balancing functionality and price.

Best coffee grinder I've ever owned!
So pleased with this grinder. As other reviews have said, it's very quiet and very clean. My old grinder was loud and made a lot of dust that clung to the ground coffee hopper. The unit is large and solidly built. The controls are intuitive and the morning grind is no longer the chore it once was. I can grind the perfect amount of beans and dump them cleanly into the filter. No more static-clinging coffee dust. Love it!

Reliable product. Just what I've been looking for for years (and a lot of other grinders.)
I've had this product since Feb 2024 and am absolutely happy with its performance. There are so many options and grinds. The only problem I've ever had was about 1 year in, when suddenly I was having static electricity problems, but the solution I found here on this page did the job. (under the grinder, where the grounds come out, there are two small silver tips sticking out along the perimeter. Just dust them off, and the problem is solved.)My only complaint is that the settings you set up are not stored if there is a power failure. Once you find your "list", I recommend you write it down so you can quickly re-program.Highly recommend, but search around for the best pricing. I bought mine here about 15 months ago for a lot less than the current listed price as this review.

Where Have You Been All My Life?
I have only had this in use for about two weeks so only time will tell but, as of right now, I am very happy with my purchase. The unit seems to be well-built and is quite heavy. As other reviewers have pointed out, it is extremely quiet. This is my 3rd burr grinder and is far and away the very quietest I have owned which makes it really nice in the morning when I am trying not to wake up my wife. Also, as others have experienced, it leaves nothing on the counter and the plastic receptacle for the grounds has zero static issues. The grounds empty into the filter basket cleanly. My biggest issue is that I have tried a number of settings for both brewing method and grinding time with no real answer yet as to which one is best. I will keep at it. Right now, when set most anywhere in the drip coffee range, I think it is entirely too fine and needs to be cut back to a bit coarser grind. For now I can do that with the controls but that puts me over in the Percolator or French Press area and I want it to be more accurate for the type of brewing method chosen. From what I can tell, once this latest coffee is gone, I am probably going to pull the lower burr out and make an adjustment to it so that I can get a better handle on grind size and make it grind more accurately for the chosen method of making coffee. My only other complaint, if you want to call it that, is that the hopper only holds about 8 oz. of beans instead of a full 12 oz. bag but I knew that going in. It is a minor inconvenience. Otherwise, so far, I think it is an awesome unit.
