Seems a little cheap in some regards, but overall not bad.
I will update this review as time goes on, I bought this mostly for a short term project, it was on sale and I figured if I got a few uses out of it with the brush cutter it would be worth the money vs trying to rent something. I haven't had a chance to really use it yet, but I will give my initial thoughts and impressions so far.10/20/20:The package came damaged, there was not a lot of packing material in the box so stuff was able to shift around, this caused the plastic on the engine cover to get a crack in it. no really a huge deal, but a bit annoying.Quality:On initial inspection of the weed trimmer, it actually looks to be pretty nice, doesn't feel flimsy, actually feels pretty heavy-duty, with that being said some of the parts do feel cheaply made, like the plastic cover for the engine and the strap, but overall its nothing I can't live with.Assembly:Well first of all the instructions suck, but its a weed trimmer so its pretty straight forward to put together, the only thing that is annoying is that all the adjustment points are clamps that use allen wrenches to adjust vs a knob to twist, this can be annoying when you have to wear the harness to properly setup the handle position, so you need to keep taking the trimmer on and off the harness to get it setup properly unless you have an assistent that is.Usability:I put in my fuel, primed, put the choke on, and pulled the cord and it fired right up, no problems whatsoever, it seems to handle the brush blade just fine, only time will tell if the engine will last, but on initial startup it seemed to run smooth, and work fully as expected, it is actually quieter than I thought it would be too.My biggest complaint is that the way this is setups that when you have it on the harness it basically sits on your left hip, the right handle sits comfortably where you'd want it to, but the left handle isn't long enough and it make you have to hold it at a slightly weird angle/position (basically in front of you vs out to the side), this may be resolved with some more tweaking of the positioning, but it seems that it could be improved if the handle was a bit longer to sit out further from the trimmer. Conclusion:At this point I am not regretting the decision, I will be taking it out and putting it through its paces working through brush on some acreage, I will do a follow-up review at some point.Update 11/16/20Well, I had to return it.We have around 3 acres of property and while on the second day of use trying to cut brush from our ditches, the head of the unit that the blades attached to just fell apart. When it was working and not falling apart it seemed to have enough power to get the job done, started every time, all in all it wasn't a bad unit, but it broke so I have to update my rating down to a 2.I would exchange it, but it only lasted 2 real uses, I'm worried about longevity.

A Real "Hoss" of a Machine
First off, I am not accustomed to writing such an extensive review. But, for this machine, I would like to set the "record" straight. We have endured an unusually wet year causing approximately 1/4 acre of a field on our property to become a bed of mud and muck that has not dried up. Growing in this muck are some vary thick, tall green grass-like plants with tight root bases. They are very close together resulting in dense coverage. Some were over 2 feet tall. I initially attempted to cut down these wild grasses with a string trimmer with the only result being partially broken stalks. I then surmised I needed something with a lot of power and a cutting blade. I prefer to buy American made products, but the Made in the USA product needed was $1,299.00. That was considerably more than I wished to invest. After searching Amazon I found this Chinese beast boasting a 42cc engine with 2-day Prime shipping. Total cost with tax was well under $200.00. Several reviews indicated the manual that came with the product was difficult to understand and considerable time was required to assemble the product. I found the manual to be very clear and concise, written in good English with excellent instructions. All parts were present, including the tools necessary for assembly. From the time I removed the parts from the box to complete assembly was an honest to goodness 15 minutes - and that time included reading the manual! One reviewer commented that the supplied harness was inadequate so I also ordered a different upgraded harness with additional padding. The additional harness really wasn't needed even if it did make the shoulder straps more comfortable. The supplied harness would have been more than adequate. I started cutting this morning. It took several attempts to adjust the harness and handles to my stance and I had to move the guard higher up on the shaft with the blade in order to cut close to the ground. I was using the supplied 3-point blade. The machine started easily and idled smoothly. It is heavy and use without the harness would have been impossible for me. I'm 75, had back surgery three years ago and don't do well with heavy lifting. Yet, when properly balanced I was easily able to support and swing the machine back and forth. It has more than enough power and easily sliced through the tough grass stalks. Once I got the proper "rhythm" of my swing, cutting proceeded quickly. A couple of additional comments: Do Not even think of using this tool without eye protection. A full face shield would be best. It will sling mud and debris all over you even with the guard in place. The sound produced by this machine is rated at 115 dBA and thus ear plugs or muffs are also needed. I have not tried the string trimmer spool yet so can't comment on how well it works. From experience with other 2-stroke machines I know it is a must to drain all gasoline from the engine when storing. If you skip this step chances are a sticky gum will develop in the fuel system and the engine will not start the next time you use it. The only thing that would make this machine better would be a younger and stronger operator.

Manufacturer errors
Unfortunately when I opened the box I found no assembly instructions or manual, so I went to YouTube. If you put in the exact product description name and product number it comes up. Upon watching the 2 week old video, the second step of assembly I noticed there was no handle assembly pre-installed by the manufacturer. Once I contacted Amazon, the Customer Service agent suggested a $15 inconvenience fee when I noticed the product was now selling for about $40 cheaper. That made no sense, so I fully returned this item and repurchasing for the new price. Hopefully the next one is correct!I have received the second, assembled and used my new weed eater with the blade to cut down Scotchbroom. It has thus far been an excellent purchase for the price. I would suggest this product to anyone who is in the market for one.

A Lotta Bang for your Buck!
Wemars 42cc Trimmer. All parts were present and accounted for. Nothing damaged. My only gripe is the plastic casing around the trigger seems a little lightweight, other than that all feels very solid. Follow instrux as they're written and you should be good to go. I used a 40:1 - 3.2oz Synthetic to 1 gallon of 93 Premium gas. No smoke, no cutoffs, all power. Set your on switch and trigger lock, push prime bulb 6 times...Trimmer started on 2nd pull and stayed running. I'll update this review 'if needed', but for a day one run, I am quite pleased with my first Wemars product.
