I just received. Turned on. Heating up and starting clicking loudly and flashes 888. What is wrong?

I’d assume it’s defective. Maybe unhook the power supply from the heat plate and the time setting and hook it back to make sure it’s getting a good connection. Sorry I’m not much help.

my part A cord does not want to hook up into the control box?

There’s a tab that needs to be lined up in order for it to plug in. If it’s not lined up, it will not make the connection. Once the tab is lined up, push it all the way in and turn the flange clockwise to make a tight secure fit. I hope this help. Good luck.
