Don't add water
The bracers were a fine piece of armor when I first bought them. I did have three issues using these however.Firstly, I found that the hand guards were slightly too small causing issues with cutting circulation and the leather strap attaching them to the bracers were short keeping me from using my wrists full range of motion.Secondly, they also rust super easily compared to my other armor pieces I bought for my larp kit. To clarify; all of my metal armor pieces in my larp kit were exposed to the same amount of rain and humidity and were stored in the same container. However, the bracers had signs of more severe rusting then my other pieces and the rusting wasn't consistent between boulth bracers either. The only consistency was that they tend to rust in-between the leather and metal. And finally, another issue I had was the corners of the bracers would bite/dig into my wrists leaving slight cuts due to the metal edges sharpness.

Thin metal, cheap fabric
Had to bend the metal into place to get it to fit. The “leather” is thin vinyl with some kind of cheap cord that is also not leather. the only thing that is leather is the hand strap that is too small for an adult hand to fit through. Do not buy

Partially assembled?
I like them. But came to me without two rivets in one of them. And the laces are too brittle. They broke on me the 3rd time I tied them.
