Absolutely THE best rag quilt snips!
Without a doubt, these are the scissors you want when snipping all those rag quilt edges! I have severe carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists that affects my ability to grip any object for very long without my hands going to sleep. I made two, twin size rag quilts out of cotton flannel for my twin grandsons and was a little concerned about all the snipping ahead of me to finish them. These snips were just what I needed to get the job done with the least amount of pain. The handle is ergonomically designed to keep your wrist and hand aligned without having to bend at the wrist during the snipping action. The short blades are very sturdy, sharp, and perfectly shaped for the task. They cut very well, right down to the tips. I tried four other styles of high quality scissors and none even came close to these Fiskars Rag Quilt Snips. If you have even one rag quilt to snip in your future, these scissors are worth every penny - you won't regret buying them!

Just what my hands needed
I have been making a lot of rag quilts lately and needed a pair of scissors that didn’t put so much stress on my hands. These scissors work perfectly for that. They are sharp and are lightweight enough that I can use them for quite a while before my hands are screaming at me. I’m definitely going to buy another pair as a back up!

Works great, but make sure to use them safely
These snips saved me hours of clipping rag quilt seams. I gave it four stars in ergonomic and comfort because they're great but there's nothing in this world that could make snipping seams for hours a comfortable experience and sometimes, I struggled to find the best way to hold them. Nevertheless, I would absolutely purchase these again.HOWEVER: Keep these things away from children and be extra careful when using them. They're fantastic at cutting through multiple layers of thick fabrics and so I wouldn't be all that surprised if they could take a finger off.

Bought for myself
If you do a lot of cutting of fabric, then these are the scissors you need. Sometimes I find it hard to grip and cut fabric for a long period of time. These are wonderful. For every cut it spring right back into action. Very easy to use. I would but these again.

Great for clipping rag quilts
I bought these to clip the seams for rag quilts and they did not disappoint! On this quilt I used flannel for the front, middle and back. I was able to clip the center seams all together (all 6 layers) at a time. I thought I might have to do one side and then the other but nope, I was able to do all at once.I have made two quilts so far and maybe over time they might dull but for now they work great!

You will LOVE these!!
These snips are as wonderful as I'd hoped they would be when I ordered them. I have a rag quilt with 6 layers of flannel and was having real trouble making the snips. These easily cut right through the 6 layers- no problem! I was thrilled! I had 16 rows to snip in a 40" long baby quilt and did it all in one sitting - and no aching hand. I was amazed at how quickly it went. Now that I know how easily and painlessly I can finish off this step, I am really looking forward to making more rag quilts. The performance of the snips is great, the price is an extra bonus. I would definitely recommend these and they will definitely be gifts for sewing friends and family.
