Ordered this flower because of its high protein content, and the quality of the grains. My intent was to use it for sourdough bread, I don’t get the rise out of it that I do with white flour. Also did not get the same crisp outer shell like you do with white flour. Going to try blending it. It did make a nice loaf of bread, though, just thinner. tasted great.

This product is wonderful. Great texture...sweet...no bitterness...very easy to work with. I will be reordering regularly, ..... have been baking bread for 40 years. If you're on the fence, do not hesitate to purchase this product. The two loaves in the attached photo are a little over one third Sunrise Whole Wheat flour ( a little over 2 cups) using brown sugar instead of white for color. Heckers Flour plus Sunrise WWht. 2 teas. salt. 2 Tbs. Sugar. 1 cup milk. 1 plus 1/4 cups water. One and 1/2 TB butter. 1 Pkg Fleishman's Rapid Rise Yeast.

Good product. Great taste best flour I have used yet .Organic and fresh from farm.Makes great sourdough bread.

I made Kentucky style fried chicken with it last night. Worked great.

This organic whole wheat flour is fantastic! It's a little more expensive, but totally worth it. I buy it all the time!

Ground almost as fine as unbleached white, but didn't bake heavy. Used 3 cups this with 1 cup unbleached white and the bread was marvelous. Had just a touch of natural flavor to distinguish the aroma from unbleached white I have used for years.

Wish I found this flour sooner. It’s perfect for my whole wheat bread needs, the flavor is way better than any other whole wheat flour at the grocery store that I have purchased. Will buy again.
