5 stars for what I want out of a stethoscope...amazing sound clairty and noise reduction...
For the price ($19US), the quality, the sound, I am amazed and can't believe this product. Mainly used to hear intestinal sounds; the clarity and bold loudness of the scope is shocking. The intestines make some seriously scary noises, at times I thought the howling and groaning of hell was right next to my ears! I checked out five other scopes and tried my friend's Littmann, none came close to this Clairre--for $19 bucks (when I bought it). The chest-piece is hardy, a bit heavy and tough, the scope-head does a very nice job drowning out environmental noise too. As stated the scope head is a bit heavy, but that's not a concern for me, I don't have it hanging around my neck throughout the day. Will be buying another--don't why the price differs from on to another--quality issue--won't know until my next buy. The chest-piece membrane/diaphragm is sensitive and seems more heavy duty than the others I tried. For the price, this product is worth its weight in high valued gold. [This review is not sponsored. I buy all of my products with my own $$$. I like the freedom to say what I need to with no holding back. Ad sponsor--do not contact me.]

Better than the Littmann
I lost my Littmann 3, I got this cause Im tired of the disposable but cheap. This stethoscope is really nice, like really really nice. I have better sound quality with this than my Littmann. I love the single head it’s good for high and low sounds and so easy to use. I work on a cardiology unit so heart sounds are my primary use. I can see how it would be hard for a beginner to use but if you have experience the single head is amazing. It is very light to carry and comfortable to use. I’m exciting to make all my co workers try it.

Good for the price
I think it’s good for the price but the hearing could be better. I just have to make sure all is quiet while using. I do like the near noise canceling of the earbuds.if someone is talking while I have them on I HAVE to take it off to hear them so I do like the noise canceling of that. But the bell itself picks up a lot of outside noise if that makes sense which is why I need quiet while auscultating my patients lungs, heart and belly

Great acoustics
I had a big brand-name stethoscope that was really expensive. I worried about loosing it, having it stolen, finally it rotted out and got stiff. Replacement parts didn't fit and were expensive. This stethoscope was so affordable it was worth a shot. It sounds better than the expensive one. Great quality. Long tubing keeps your face away from the patient. It has a single pipe that will not bang together like a Sprague-type. Comfortable ear plugs that capture the sound. No regrets with this purchase.

Great deal
Good deal for student or MA. Mine works just fine for reading BP, which is all I use it for. I appreciate the case, extra earpieces as well. Love it

Solid and Reliable
I love my new Clairre single head stethoscope. I take blood pressure measurements all day and my old stethoscopes wore down readily. I went with the single head stethoscope because my dual head model kept switching during auscultation making it difficult to hear. The Clairre single head stethoscope feels like it is all one piece. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and couldn't be happier. The all black model looks sleek too.

Needs better diaphragm
Decent build quality, nice ear tips (a little firmer than Littmann). The paint is OK, a little messy, but seems fairly durable. Binaurals are set at a fixed angle and cannot be adjusted. Tubing is pretty standard, not as flexible as I'd like. The weight is ok; the chestpiece is a bit heavy and definitely overkill for such a flimsy diaphragm. They could have removed some excess material or made it out of a lighter alloy. It feels fine in the hand.In terms of acoustics, it's fine for manual BP and acceptable for lung sounds. For heart sounds, it's muddy and muffled. This is mostly due to the poor quality diaphragm, which is a simple piece of plastic (presumably PET) film held by a rubber ring.A high quality diaphragm has a (usually fiber reinforced epoxy) membrane with a rubber suspension that allows it to flex (a "tunable" or "dual frequency" diaphragm). This is crucial for a single-head design, allowing it to perform the functions of both a traditional diaphragm and bell. Using a better diaphragm would probably raise the production cost by a couple dollars, which I suppose is significant at this price range. If this had a tunable diaphragm, it would easily deserve 5 stars. As it is, for the price, it would be fine for casual use outside of clinical practice.

I have high blood pressure. This scope is very well made. It’s easy to use. It’s a great value for the money.
