Excellent PHOTO Printer!!! Highly Recommended.
DO NOT read negative reviews. Period.Purchased this printer not on Amazon, but based on excellent reviews from the time it was it added here on Amazon.I have it since 2016 and it is OUTSTANDING! I print colourful posters for sale on Etsy.Some people complain that it has no scanner or copy...??! Description clearly says that it is NOT 'all-in-one", It is A PHOTO printer, and as such it does an AMAZING job. And you need to know how to print coloured images. It uses 4 CARTRIDGES - 2 Blacks, Magenta, Cyan and Yellow. What it means is that in order to have the right colours of the printout, you need to convert your picture from RGB to CMYK, otherwise the colours come out very subtle.So, if this is somebody complains about colours, it's NOT the printer, but lack of knowledge to print the right way. And btw, I use replacement inks only, not Canon's. And they are excellent.Now, I also DO NOT use Wi-Fi. Because it is NOT reliable. I have everything wired.You need to treat your printer like a baby. Handle it carefully and gently and it will serve you very well.SUPERB Printer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Only worth getting if you really need it
A3 printer that only prints, there's no scanning option - its designed to suit a home office environment. If you're printing colour office documents like charts and spreadsheets, you'll be pleased with the results. You get Wi-Fi connectivity with this printer; you also have the option of using a wired Ethernet connection.If any one of the inks runs out, you need to change it before you can carry on printing - a warning message pops up warning against the ongoing risk of damage to the printer. So in order to continue you'll need to purchase more ink before the last warning for continued printing. You can't set this printer up to automatically print on both sides of a page. Ink running costs could be better - on average this device used 300% more ink when printing occasionally (this is because like similar printers this printer cleans it print heads if you only print occasionally. This process of cleaning the heads uses ink that never reaches the paper), compared with printing the same number of pages in one go, which is rather a downside with this printer.
